Booking an unborn Infant!

Hi all,

Ok, strange question. I'm currently pregnant, with baby due this July. I've been looking at DLP dates for next March and the prices for the dates I'm looking for are really good. And the current offer lasts until Sept '15 for booking. However, I'm aware that the prices might change over the coming months....

So I have the following options:

  • In theory, I could wait until baby is born and THEN book the trip, and risk price increases.

  • Or, I could book sooner rather than later, but I would need to put baby's DOB down...which obviously I don't know!

  • Or, could I book now and add an infant to the booking later????

Has anyone done anything similar??

Thanks!

Or put due date....I doubt they'll check. You can always once once baby is born and let them know the date and explain you booked before they arrived.

We have same "problem" with upcoming trip this June. I have dealt with the airlines, which I would think are much more strict due to regulations, and they just have me put "Infant (Your Last Name)" and put the day you book as their DOB. Then, after baby is born email or call them and update the info. No charges through United airlines or EasyJet so I suppose Disney would be the same. Good Luck.

Thanks all...... will think a bit more on it.....

If anyone has actually done this, I'd love to know what you did.

Cheez - is your trip to DLP or somewhere else?

When I used to work for Disneyland Paris reservations (circa 2000) we used to take the due date of the infant and put that as their date of birth. It really won't make much difference to your booking if baby comes early or late as they are still an infant as far as the booking system is concerned.

Thank you so much for this. I emailed DLP to see what they would say - I had a reply saying that the date isn't important (would be if booking transport), just the name.... which is fine, but baby doesn't have a name yet!! lol So I emailed back asking if it was therefore easier to add an infant after they had been born, but as yet I haven't had a response to that.......

You do it over the phone, they'll use your due date as date of birth & put infant or baby down as the name. Then you just call to update once baby is born ☺

If you leave them off your booking & add them on after they're born it may cost you more if the offer has changed.

Thanks magickate - we're actually looking to book via the phone anyway for this booking, so this will work out great, thank you!
