We will be booking and are flexible with dates. I am curious how the experience has gone for others booking.

Are people getting the dates they requested.?
Do you know your room assignment?
How do you go about sending the coupon, do you fax or mail it. If you mail it, do you send it certified? What if it got lost? (I'm a worrier!!)

Will I have trouble booking the dates? I was encouraged by a travel agent to wait because there were possibly something coming............but I am getting anxious about waiting? Any advice appreciated.

Thanks Kackie

We were also flexible about the dates but got the first date we wanted (third weekend in september). It wasn't a problem.

Do you know your room assignment?

Our room assignment is listed as a GTY (guarantee) but I did request to be as high up on the boat as possible (something about being down below deck 3 just creeps me out, completely irrational, I know) and I did notice that although everything I read said that for our Cat 8 (which is a high up outside porthole room) cruise in Jan we were guaranteed cat 9 or higher, I do have a guarantee on a cat 8, not cat 9.

I'm a worrier too! I hadn't sent it yet because I wanted to make a photocopy of it to keep for my records... then my husband hooked up the scanner so I scanned it and printed a color copy for my records. I am going to be sending it with some kind of return receipt as well (whatever the cheapest way is to get official USPS confirmation that disney received it in case there are any problems).

I don't know if you will have trouble booking the dates. I wanted to wait until march to book it to try to figure out when would be best for me (I am going to be doing my thesis that semester but the $99 cruise offer was too good to pass up and it's at least over a long weekend!) but I started to get nervous that availability would get slim if I waited too long. I had no idea (and still don't) if there are only a certain number of $99 cabins available on each sailing or if, as long as there is availability in your category on the cruise, you can book it. Does anyone know? Oh well, I am happy with my dates.

Kackie,
Had a great experience booking our $99 cruise yesterday.

- We were 'upgraded' to a cat-4 even thought we only had a ct-6 in January. We didn't get a room assignement, but we were guaranteed a cat-4 and requested a room near the back of the ship.
- I think it helps to be flexible with your dates. We picked Dec 19 and got our first chioce.
- Book early. Cruise dates should start to fill up. I can't imagine anything else better coming, as your TA suggested.

I booked my $99 cruise last week and I sent in the voucher using Certified Mail, Return Receipt with the USPS and it cost me about $4, but it's a small price to pay to insure your cruise.

I think it might be more difficult as time goes on to get a booking because of the math that I worked out:

There were 8 cruises in January that offered the $99 voucher, 4 on the Magic and 4 on the Wonder. Each ship has 875 cabins, so the maximum amount of vouchers given out would be 875 x 8 and that equals 7,000.

There are 12 cruises in the fall that you can use the $99 voucher on. The same 875 cabins on 12 cruises = 10,500 available.

If we divide 8 Jan cruises by 12 fall cruises, we get 66%.
If we divide 7000 Jan cabins by 10,500 fall cabins we get 66%.

I know that every voucher will not be redeemed. I know the vouchers can't be used on Category 1 to 3 cabins.

To me, it means that as many as 2 out of every 3 cabins will be booked using the vouchers, so I wanted to book mine as soon as possible.

Hi!

For those that have booked the $99 deal, did you have to pay in
full when you booked??? Or what is the payment date??

thanks

Scarlet

Haq about a week to pay in full. The CM laughed as the usual deposit is $200 per person and the whole cruise is no where near that! She also said that we are basically getting a FREE !! cruise as the port charges and taxes on a 3 night cruise are usually $128 per person so our total fee's just equal that. Yes, we are getting quite the deal and really feel lucky to be going again!

When I booked our dates...I had no problem.

I made a copy of the voucher for my records, sent the original along with a cashiers check by Fed Ex on Monday and they had my payment posted by 1400 on Tuesday.

You can check your reservation on line by going to DCL web
site and following the steps.

Anyone else going 9-5???????

Can you really request a certain category? We sailed in a cat. 11 in January....that gets us a cat. 10 - 12 for the fall. The cm I spoke to said I am guaranteed a 10 or 11, but didn't say I could request 10 only.....did I miss something? If so, can I go back and redo/or request 10?
