We are very excited to have booked our first stay at FW as a family. My DH went many times as a kid and although we are wdw veterans we have always stayed in the hotels. We are traveling with another family and they have a motor home and we are renting a travel trailer from Greenberg. I booked us two premium sites and Disney has linked them together.

My question is that I realized there is a lot of water/canals in the campground. We both have children with autism so we really don't want to be around a canal. Any recommendations for a good loop for our families?

Welcome to Fort Wilderness camping. I promise you will like it. People staying at other resorts just don't know what they are missing.

400 is a good loop. No canals around it and very easy walk to the Trading Post, Trail's End, or Pioneer Hall.

700 loop is also close as well.

Yeah!

Your families will have a great time staying at Fort Wilderness!

So much to do at FW...daily poolside kid activities, night time singalong, campfire and movie.

A family paradise!
