Booked Disney Visa deal without insert!

Disneyhappy:

Glad I could help out (tho wish more people could get thru to the "helpful" CMs)........everyone on these boards have been so gracious in giving their assistance to me it's nice to give back!

Thanks for listing what is included in the package......I was so excited I didn't even think to ask what else was included after room and UPH :D

I called and they said "no, it's only for new Bank One Visa members." They insisted I need the special code, which I don't have. I said I thought this wasn't fair since I was a Day 1 charter member and was told by the Disney CM to call Bank One directly and take it up with them.

So unfair!

After my last call to Disney Guest Relations, I believe with your card being applied for in Oct, you are considered a new card memeber. She said...new members in the last few months or so.

I am not even sure that since I applied for another card in my name only if I will qualify.

Guest Relations also now has a statement to read. After she read it and I asked a question, she said, "this is what I am suppose to tell you" and she read it again. She used the word, "only eligible Disney Visa card members."

"Perhaps I'll be receiving a phone call from Disney. If so, I am optimistic that this deal will be offered widespread. Last year the FTP came out early May so there is still plenty of time."

....I think that if you are a new cardmember you'll be fine. I think when the CMs say, "I'll look it up" they are looking in the info from Bank One and so you don't have to have the code, but you have to be in their database or whatever it is.

When I talked with Bank One, I asked if I could book once I was approved or did I have to wait for the card. She said once you're in the system you can book. I guess I would try it.

EEyorelover22:

I guess than could be the reason (that I am "sort of new" since my card was from October) but the CM did not check my card number against a data base when she looked up the code. I gave them the card number after the entire reservation was complete and I wanted to pay for the deposit. I truly think one hand does not know what the other is doing down there........

Sending you *LOTS* of pixie dust that your next call gets you your reservation--we EEyore lovers need to stick together!

Also sending ***LOTS*** of pixie dust to all who are trying for the deal........

EEyorelover22-
Thank you- That makes me fell a little better. I feel guilty for everyone who has not been able to book it. I still believe something similar will be offered to everyone. It is just a relief to get the booking over with so I can now concentrate on priority seatings.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and all DISers out there!!!Tons of Pixie Dust your way!!!!

I just got off the phone with WDTC, and they wouldn't even quote me a price for the Disney Visa 7 for 4 deal without a code. I explained that my husband is a current Disney Visa card holder, but I received an application for a card in my own name. I just wanted a QUOTE on the price. She wouldn't budge...no can do without a code. I asked if they will open the deal up to anyone, and she said NO. Only for NEW Disney Visa holders. I told her that it didn't seem right to me, that my husband had his card for a long time. All I got was a sarcastic "Sor-ry".

I already have the previous Kids Play/Stay free package booked. I just wanted to see if this current deal would save me more $$. I don't want to go through the hassle of opening up a new card just to find out how much of a savings, if any, there would be. What a pain in the butt!!

Those of you who got the package without a code, and without being new Disney Visa card holders...congrats....you got LUCKY!

I just called for fall and she said those dates were not available yet........I asked for the Visa Dream Maker pkg and she knew right away what I was talking about but suggested I call back in the spring for Sept rates.

They were checking by name and zip code is all...no cc#. Bank One said I didn't need a code if I am approved. They said all the info will be downloaded to Disney and they would be able to check.

I will call at the end of the week on the card. I applied for another in my name only so we shall see.

Has anyone called Bank One today, applied for the card, been given the code- but never received the invitation by mail?

I'd like to call and apply, but will they give you the code without receiving anything from them in the mail?

Best of luck to all!

Yes, I do have the Disney Visa card. I thought that was required to get the discount.

I can answer that question. I called Bank One and I thought I'd get somewhere since the guy was so nice, but he came back and said, "you can apply for a new card."

I did. You don't get a code. You get nothing and you cannot make a reservation either. I tried.

So...I am waiting for a few days and will check on the status of my card. I'll post what happens. I am not sure I'll get the deal even though I am a new card holder. I called Bank One last week and was told I couldn't just apply so I'll wait and see.

marcyin PA-
You can go on the Disney website and look up the cost of a 4 night Dreamaker package to find out the cost. That is exactly what I was charged. Good luck!

You must have a relatively new card then?

Things make a little bit more sense from the last CM that I talked to. She did give a bit more info than her printed statement. She said it was a decision made by Bank One and Disney's marketing department targeting a certain population. I still think it's rotten of both companies.
