Book Suggestions - Looking for a funny book

If you like animals, I recommend Dog On It, by Spencer Quinn. It is a detective story told from the perspective of the private investigator's dog. It is light and laugh out loud funny.

Confessions of a Shopaholic was cute.

I'm about a third of the way through "Can You Keep a Secret" by the same author (Sophie Kinsella) and so far I like it even better.

I've been listening to it on CD in the car.

I love the Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella (first book is Confessions of a Shopaholic). It's like Rachel Green meets Lucy Ricardo...set in London.

LAMB, The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore

Laugh out loud hysterical. The more familiar you are with the bible the funnier it is....and the more offensive it could be.

The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, especially the earlier ones. The last couple weren't quite as funny, but still entertaining.

It's Ok to Miss the Bed on the First Jump by John O'Hurley (yes, the same guy from Seinfeld & Family Feud). I remember this being LOL funny, especially if you're a dog lover!

I was going to recommend the Spellman books and "Dog on it" - if you like the premise of dog perspective, there's another mystery "the Unscratcahbles"

Love the books by Mary Kay Andrews and the Bubbles books by Sarah Stromeyer. The Anne George mysteries - Southern Sisters are very funny.

If the library is out, then check the used book stores and thrift stores, they are jammed with lots of books.

Bill Fitzhugh has written some hysterical books - Pest Control. Also, Eric Garcia -the Rex books.

As mentioned Chistopher Moore is a hoot.
