Book character breakfast and meet & greet online!

We are on 7 Day Western...So Character breakfasts are only on Eastern now??? Bummer.
Why would they send me the e-mail?

Is anyone able to see CB on a Western??

Yes, we have a Western booked for September. Disney Junior CB is offered on the first of two sea days. I didn't book because we are all adults. Would have been tempted if it was any of the classic five but probably not as it is a 45 minute experience. Sounds rushed to me. I do think it is fantastic that prebooking is now available online.

Thanks for the info.
So 7 Day Western only offers Disney Junior CB on first sea day? No Mickey and Pals CB offered on Western? Only offered on Eastern?

Any ideas which characters are included in the "Disney VIP" CB? Is that Mickey and Co.?

It's been a while, but I always thought the character breakfasts were assigned to you according to your dinner rotation :confused3

No.

Last few cruises, we had to book it.

They did do that, but few turned up, and it was a rush in two sittings.

Now it's on time slots that are staggered in set parts of Animators, and the characters come to that slot.

Those who do not want to go, do not have tables prepared for them, and they are better used.

This is my experience on the Magic.

No, it's changed. For a little while now, you've had to pick up tickets once onboard. And the requirement for 3 sea days is no longer in effect. Since they set up the breakfast based on how many tickets (spaces) they fill, they can more efficiently fill the room. In the past, the assigned breakfast was not very well attended.

Is the character breakfast a buffet or served family style at your table?

Thanks

Claire :)

Finally got everything booked for 8/15 Alaskan on the Wonder. I had numerous instances of it timing out and/or freezing or the Check Availability button not doing anything at all. So, they were still having some glitches around 11amEST. This itinerary lists Character Breakfast (no mention of which characters), Princess Gathering and Frozen Meet & Greet.

This is what it showed me, when I went back after booking to note the availability:

Character Breakfast was offered on Day 2 (Sea), Day 3 (Tracy Arm), Day 6 (Ketchikan, SOLD OUT) -7:45-9:30 seating every 15 minutes.

Frozen offered on Day 2 - 2-3:15, every 15 minutes
- Day 4 - 4:30- 5:45, every 15 minutes

Princess Offered on Day 2 & Day 3- 11:30- 12:45, every 15 minutes

Note: when I went back afterwards to get the available times for this post, it told me there were no available activities on Day 5 and 7. Which is odd, considering I booked a Princess Gathering for Day 7 earlier...it doesn't say SOLD OUT, like the Character Breakfast on Day 6, it just won't pull up anything. I swear there was a Character Breakfast on this day earlier, as well. So, I'm thinking its still a glitch.

Hope it helps, although I doubt its complete!

Actually, this sounds like a better idea and better use of the space. I'll have to keep an eye out for it next sailing. We didn't get an invite on the Fantasy sailing in December 2014 and I thought we just missed the character breakfast. Now i realize we were supposed to book it!

Do the Frozen and Princess meet and greets really only take 15 minutes? I guess I can see Frozen, because there are just the two of them and they greet people together. But I would have thought the Princesses would take longer to visit with.

Not just sea days. We're booked on the Grand Cayman day at 8:15.

Woot Woot. This forum is great. We sail this Sat on the Fantasy Western and I am all booked for Elsa and Anna, Princess Gathering and Disney Jr Breakfast. That was the last worry left in the back of my mind. Might hang at the hotel pool longer and wait for the crowds to clear before boarding. BTW I'm Silver not Gold and was able to select these ticketed events.

It's like a fast pass, a slot with a few people queuing, you will be through fast, may not exactly be 15 minutes.
