Hello all my wonderful Diser friends!! Welcome to my TR!!

A few of my faithful Dis followers have been patiently (or not so patiently :lmao:) waiting for me to start this TR since our return from our trip this past Tuesday.

To any newcomers, welcome!! I hope you enjoy following along on what proved to be a wonderful trip.

If any newcomers are interested this is a link to my PTR!! It is also the PTR for a trip that we are taking in January! Enjoy!

I’m going to start the TR with the day before the trip, Wednesday Oct 28th!

Those who have been following along on my PTR know that DD8 wasn’t feeling well when she came home was school on the 27th. She seemed much better on the morning of 28th and said she was fine. So, I sent her off to school happy to get the last few things I needed to get done done.

DS2 was very interested in helping me get everything all set for the trip :lmao: The best part was that he actually was helpful! Especially for a 2 year old!

He did take a break at one point to do a little reading

He's reading The Complete Guide to Disney World to get a last minute idea of all the rides he wanted to go on ;) (no he's not wearing pants, I don't know why but neither of my boys like to wear pants)

I picked the bigger kids, DD8 and DS6, up from school a few minutes early on Wednesday to avoid the 30 minutes of chaos that picking them up at dismissal causes. We were soon on our way home in a terrible rain storm with dreams of sunshine and palm trees dancing in our heads.

Upon getting home DD laid down on the couch and very quickly faded! Oh boy! Seriously, if we had a white couch I may have not been able to see her there!! I walked past her and touched her head. Oh boy, oh no, oh crap!!

Thermometer in her ear and a beep, beep later it read 102.2!! OH NO!!!!

Luckily, we have a great walk-in doctor in the next town. We were quickly off to see him!

We were seen very quickly and the doctor determined that she didn’t have an ear infection, didn’t have strep but her lungs were a little congested. UGH!

He said she didn’t have pneumonia or bronchitis, but they were a little congested. He gave her a RX for antibiotics, told me she was ok to travel and said she should be feeling better very soon. Ok, wonderful! DD was very, very happy to hear that! She was petrified we wouldn’t be able to go!

After a quick trip to CVS to get the medicine we made it home and ordered our pizza for dinner. Pizza for dinner the night before a trip is kinda a tradition now. With all the stuff to be done there is no way I could possible find the time to cook dinner! This trip was no exception!

After dinner it was time for quick showers and baths for the kiddos, antibiotics and motrin for DD and an early bedtime for all!

Phew! Why is nothing ever simple and easy?

Up next, it's 5:30 am do you know where your children are, a 2 1/2 hour flight with a 2 year old, race horses and more ;)

*** Update coming later today ;)***

Hello again Diser friends!!

My last, well first, update didn’t sound exactly the way I wanted it to. But, I have an excuse! I was feeling a teeny bit under the weather! But thanks to some rest and some good dis time I feel much better!!
I also have to apologize that the early few updates will not have many pictures! I had promised myself that I would take a few pics at home before we left, at the airport, on the plane and at MCO. I took nota one! Sorry! I promise the pictures will start pouring in soon!!

Anyway, I’ll stop babbling and get on with why you’re really here, the TR!!

We left off with bedtime the night before our trip.

We have a bad habit of letting the “I’m too excited to sleep” thing sneak into our bedrooms. In fact, the night before March 08 trip my 2 boys let me sleep all of about 3 minutes! UGH! That made for some really beautiful pictures. None of which I’m willing to share ;)

But this night, thank god, the excitement seemed to have worn us out and made us sleepy! Queue angels singing the Halleluiah Chorus

I had set the alarm for 5 am, figuring I’d get up, get myself ready and then wake the troops.

But, I’m an early riser, as you can tell from the hours of some of posts. I also have this crazy internal alarm that starts waking me about an hour before I’m supposed to get up. It gets a little tiresome sometimes, literally.

I ended up getting out of bed around 4:30. Not too bad, especially for me.

I start the coffee and took a nice, long, hot shower, got myself ready and made a few bagels for the kids to eat later!! Of course, I took a break to dis for a minutes

It was soon time to wake the troops!

5:30 am! Do I know where my children are? Fast asleep in their warm beds with visions of Disney World dancing in their heads!!

But not for long!

Boy oh boy, for a group of people who aren’t normally morning people they certainly moved fast!! LOL!!!

Soon enough everyone was ready and FIL was waiting outside to drive us to the airport! Yippee!! Right on time at 6:15!!

A quick and uneventful trip to the airport, through curbside check-in in a jiffy and we soon found our waiting at the terminal!

After a short wait we were soon on the plane and ready for takeoff right on time at 8:20 am!

I’d love to tell you that the flight was uneventful. Really, I’d LOVE to tell you that! But I can’t.

Because flying with a 2 year old can be an interesting experience. I say interesting because interesting is the word my High School Art teacher, Mrs. Rossin, used to use when she didn’t particularly like what you had done.

I didn’t particularly like the way the flight went.

Ryan, DS2, is a feisty, determined and smart little man.

We took my laptop so he could watch a DVD. The other 2 kids where happy and content enough with their DS’s, DD had her ipod and I offered mine to DS6 if he wanted to listen to music or watch one of the kids movies I had downloaded onto it.

Ryan wasn’t content with anything! I must have changed the DVD at least 10 times at his request, gave him assorted toys, books, snacks etc. Nothing would keep him happy for more than a few minutes!! UGH!!

About a half an hour before the flight landed he decided to scream! You must understand that Ryan’s scream is like no other scream. I kid you not! This child has quiet a set of lungs and can make the most god awful noise! It will leave you temporarily deaf!!

It was about that time that I began to wonder where the parachutes are because I was seriously considering jumping!

That's it for now be back soon!!!

Up next; How long will we wait for ME? Checking in is hard when you can’t understand the CM at the desk! & Did we enter a time warp and arrive at WDW in August not October and more

And here's a bonus picture to compensate for lack thereof ;)

Ugh! That sounds like a tough flight. I don't envy you traveling with a 2 year old. My brother and SIL are flying from CA to FL next year to meet us in Disney and my nephew will be 2 1/2 then. I think they are going to take a red eye. Maybe that will help...:confused3

Hopefully when you touched down it got a little more magical.

Oh no about the flight! That must have been really trying. I've been on a lot of flights when the parents get that panicked look in their eyes that nothing is working. I always feel so bad, wishing I could help!
