Hello all my wonderful Diser friends!! Welcome to my TR!!
A few of my faithful Dis followers have been patiently (or not so patiently
) waiting for me to start this TR since our return from our trip this past Tuesday.
To any newcomers, welcome!! I hope you enjoy following along on what proved to be a wonderful trip.
If any newcomers are interested this is a link to my PTR!! It is also the PTR for a trip that we are taking in January! Enjoy!
Im going to start the TR with the day before the trip, Wednesday Oct 28th!
Those who have been following along on my PTR know that DD8 wasnt feeling well when she came home was school on the 27th. She seemed much better on the morning of 28th and said she was fine. So, I sent her off to school happy to get the last few things I needed to get done done.
DS2 was very interested in helping me get everything all set for the trip
The best part was that he actually was helpful! Especially for a 2 year old!
He did take a break at one point to do a little reading

He's reading The Complete Guide to Disney World to get a last minute idea of all the rides he wanted to go on
(no he's not wearing pants, I don't know why but neither of my boys like to wear pants)
I picked the bigger kids, DD8 and DS6, up from school a few minutes early on Wednesday to avoid the 30 minutes of chaos that picking them up at dismissal causes. We were soon on our way home in a terrible rain storm with dreams of sunshine and palm trees dancing in our heads.
Upon getting home DD laid down on the couch and very quickly faded! Oh boy! Seriously, if we had a white couch I may have not been able to see her there!! I walked past her and touched her head. Oh boy, oh no, oh crap!!
Thermometer in her ear and a beep, beep later it read 102.2!! OH NO!!!!
Luckily, we have a great walk-in doctor in the next town. We were quickly off to see him!
We were seen very quickly and the doctor determined that she didnt have an ear infection, didnt have strep but her lungs were a little congested. UGH!
He said she didnt have pneumonia or bronchitis, but they were a little congested. He gave her a RX for antibiotics, told me she was ok to travel and said she should be feeling better very soon. Ok, wonderful! DD was very, very happy to hear that! She was petrified we wouldnt be able to go!
After a quick trip to CVS to get the medicine we made it home and ordered our pizza for dinner. Pizza for dinner the night before a trip is kinda a tradition now. With all the stuff to be done there is no way I could possible find the time to cook dinner! This trip was no exception!
After dinner it was time for quick showers and baths for the kiddos, antibiotics and motrin for DD and an early bedtime for all!
Phew! Why is nothing ever simple and easy?
Up next, it's 5:30 am do you know where your children are, a 2 1/2 hour flight with a 2 year old, race horses and more
