Mine Train wait down to 20 minutes now less than an hour in - bet in another hour it's like 10 minutes!

This is good for those of us wanting to ride the rides, very good!

And Haunted Mansion effects/lighting looked spectacular!

True, but man there appears to be so little theming to justify that price tag.

I'm sure there is some. But NOTHING like with MNSSHP. And I know they are 2 diff events but for the price, this one is almost DOUBLE of MNSSHP, there is SO MUCH LESS in terms of theming that I've seen so far.

Because this is not MNNSHP. This is an after hours even that is centered around short ride times with a little Halloween thrown in. The Halloween additions are just that, an addition, not the main events. This was a way to give guests a little bit of a Halloween treat but certainly it was never intended to be a full blown Halloween party. The cost is in line with AH events not parties. However, for an AH event, this seems pretty crowded. Personally we love the AH events even with the higher price tag.. We go to AH for short ride times & low crowds.

Seems like both groups have reason to be disappointed in this boo bash. Those looking for more of a Halloween party aren’t happy with the limited atmosphere, no parade or fireworks. And those of us who want a traditional After Hours event aren’t happy with the crowds.

ResortTV1 was just on Main Street and wow its SO empty. I don't know what to think from seeing it through their livestream. On the one hand I can never do and see all the party stuff and it is crowded - this seems way more manageable and easier to navigate and more relaxing. On the other hand it seems so low energy cause so few people and it's expensive. I miss the parades and fireworks most of all.

I put this in the main thread:

I mean I understand it’s exactly what they advertised but without the stage shows, fireworks, character meets, and full parade it’s not even diet not so scary Halloween party it’s so watered down.

Sad. The cavalcade did give me Halloween vibes. I promise I’ll never take MNSSHP for granted-when we get through this.

In Hindsight we as a community shouldn’t have went bat crazy over these tickets from paying double for less…you set the standard now. I left I had some of the best memories at the Halloween and Christmas party I’m sad this is so watered down.

It does seem a bit confusing.
Maybe they opened it up to more people because they figured the cavalcades/trick or treating/special Halloween treats to purchase would lure people away from the rides.

People wanted low crowds and it sounds like that's what they got. It sounds very much on par for an After Hours Event which is what it is. We'd be happy if we were there as we go for the lower wait times. Enjoying the cavalcades I've watched online.

Hope those who are there are having a great time!!

I just don’t understand the low energy comments. When we have gone to AHs, we are so excited because we feel like we have a private park. I mean, I have practically been jumping up & down. Walking up to a ride & walking right on, , having whole paths to ourselves is pretty darn fun. And knowing we only have 3 hours has pumped us up to move along & get as much done as we can. So we get pretty energized.

This is about as perfect as it can be said.

I think those of us watching a livestream may be getting a low energy vibe. We're mostly seeing people wait around for the cavalcades. We're not seeing people excitedly running from ride to ride.

Not there, been checking it out online. It seems pretty low key, whether it's due to low crowds due to being an AH event/price tag or because it's hard to get "pumped" for a Halloween-ish even in August, I'm not sure.

I think what "gets" me most is that we probably will never see MNSSHP or MVMCP events again. Disney has figured a way to provide something with a slight theme of past events for a much higher cost for a shorter time period and with less pizazz (which means lower cost for Disney). As with everything else Disney, I think that they've found a way to appease the masses while turning a larger profit, so why go back? Bye bye, MNSSHP/MVMCP.

I dunno. Disneyland brought back oogie boogie bash. I think that there were legit concerns about closing MK early during the 50th. I think this change was planned regardless of Covid so that MK wasn’t closing early during the 50th. That’s just my take. I would also not be surprised to see a Halloween party move out of MK and to.. let’s say HS .. kinda like how Disneyland moved it to CA adventure. There is something to be said that It was a bit annoying to those once in lifetime quests or even less regular guests to have MK closing early 3 nights a week.

I haven't been to an AH party. I don't go to the MNSSHP to do rides at all -that would have been a big waste of time to have all the party stuff to do and spend time riding (for me). I think that's why this seems so "low energy" - no one at the dance party, few people on Main Street, less people in costumes, etc. because people are taking advantage of the low wait times for the rides which makes sense. This would be a good event for those who want to ride with a bit of Halloween atmosphere thrown in.

**edited to add that it looks much more covid friendly than some of the daytime crowds so that would be a big plus for me.

Watching the live stream, Boo Bash looks like an event that is right up our alley. Plenty of room to walk around. Some cool lighting effects and music here and there. Short lines. Complimentary ice cream and popcorn.

I'm wondering how many people complaining have been to an AH event before? Looking at the description of Boo Bash, it definitely seems more like an event in line with AH rather than MNSSHP with regards to price tag and offerings. We absolutely loved AH. MNSSHP was a one-and-done for us.

I hope everyone there is having a great time!

I too watched the live streams - was not mnsshp in a lot of ways, but a lack of crowds is a reason I’d go. I wonder if the Christmas party will be similar - I will jump on it for an upcoming trip.

That's because that's exactly what an after hours event is. A chance to be in the park with low crowds/low waits so you can ride rides. If they want to throw on some villan or halloween stuff great, but give me the low waits and "free" snacks. Everything I've read and seen tonight is exactly what they advertised and is expected of an after hours event.
