We booked 3 nights in a 3 BR and a 2 BR accomodations at Bonnet Creek before moving to similar accomodations at OKW. The Bonnet Creek Resort will be very nice when finished, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, we were there the night of the fire. That's a whole different story. Actually, we were a little disappointed, especially the 3 BR suite. Very small with some unusual design features. The major complaint is only two bathrooms for 4 sleeping places. In fairness, we did take the tour of the resort, and the 1 BR and 4 BR suites were very nice. Transportation to the parks was not very good, but they said that it was to be improved in January. We had vans, so it was not a major distraction for us.

On Sunday, we moved to OKW. What a difference!! It is our second experience in a villa. We have been TS owners since 1993, and have stayed at mant resorts, but nothing compares with the space and accomodations at a OKW villa.

Some on another thread talk about OKW being for the "old Folks". We certainly qualify for that title, but the young folks with children sure enjoy the place. We generally stay at BWV or BCV when we are with adults only. But to me, it is little different then checking into an upscale hotel. At OKW there is really a sense of being in your own place. Thank goodness for differences - it would be pretty boring otherwise.

Thanks for the comparisom Joe, I didn't read about "the fire" but I'll guess that would put one off a resort no matter where it was LOL. IT will be interesting to see how the resort progresses as they get more construction and infrastucture completed.

I didn't hear about the fire either Joe. Could you bring us up to date?
OKW...staying there are the only times we visit WDW and go home well rested!

We own another T/S that we trade through RCI. Most of the places we have stayed have been larger, similar to the size of OKW units. We own BCV and have stayed there once. While the location can not be beat, and we look forward to staying there again, it is by far the smallest 2 bedroom unit we have ever seen anywhere. The living area is a joke. We enjoy eating in the room and our family of six could not even eat all together. We have stayed in Fairfields, Hiltons, ect. and they have all been pretty spacious. Maybe the newer condos are getting smaller and smaller everywhere, not just in DVC. We still love DVC, currently booking VWL for next Christmas :Pinkbounc I didn't hear about the fire either :guilty: Fill us in.....Lacee

I know ! This always cracks me up. The resort is teaming with families with kids. We spent this past Nov there. The main pool was under construction so we went to the Miller's road pool. All seats around the pool were filled and I only saw one senior citizen present. The rest were mostly young couples with small kids ! My children were able to make friends with some of them easily. While we love all the DVC resorts, I do enjoy the sense of community at OKW.
