My daughter does not eat meat, but I'm hoping for her to find a lot of fish and veggie offerings at Boma. I feel we have to try it at least once.

As I indicated earlier, I am a picky eater. My tastes have been beat down by America's fast food establishments. Maybe I cannot appreciate good food anymore. Another place with authentic food that is probably fantastic but that I found to be horrible was the buffet restaurant in Epcot's Norway. We went there for lunch. All of it was authentic Norway food, lots of raw pickled fish, etc. I am sure some people would love this place but for me I literally could not find one thing to eat. Cheez. Give me Taco Bell, Burger King and Pizza Hut. This post has been a revealation to me.

The closest thing we've had to a bad meal at WDW is the counter service at Disney-MGM. Easily the worst of the four parks when ot comes to fast food (or food in general, IMO).

Interesting views and I guess if you are a bit picky and used to American style foods, Boma's might be a leap for you. I've read good and bad reviews about every restaurant these boards have reviewed so it truely is different strokes for different folks!
We can hardly wait to try all the restaurants we have ADR's at!
I took 5 kids to Boma..2 are picky eaters. All of them loved Bomabdg100 said:I never think of myself as picky eater, but, I am rethinking this. I just eat alot of the few things I like. Like pizza for instance. Therefore, when you read the remainder of this post please keep in mind that I am a self admitted Picky Eater. I am also an American food eater, or at least an Americanized food eater. Give me a Taco Bell combo burrito for 1.29 (ok, two combo burritos) over an authentic burrito costing 12.00 and giving me the runs any day. Same way with spaghetti (I like it out of the box).
I had no clue what most of the stuff at Boma was, thus, I didn't eat it. The stuff I did try was not to my liking. So, Boma was not for me or my family. It may be for some people. And, like a previous poster explained, it is probably worth trying, for me and my family full of picky eaters once was enough. If you have kids just be ready for them to not like it. I am sorry to be so negative but, our dislike of the food cannot be due to an "off night". The quality of the food is undoubtedly first class. It is also, obviously, authentic and true to it's African tradition. But, if you don't like beets you don't like beets no matter how well they are prepared. I don't like beets.
I disagreed with you on Boma, but I totally agree with you about Norway.I thought it was awfulbdg100 said:I agree with this.
