What does everyone out there think of Boma at AKL???? In my party of 4 I was the only one who liked it, but I was also the only non adult (i am 14). Do you think that had something to do with it??????

I think that Boma is wonderful and I am an adult along with my husband who also loves it. I do think that you must be open to trying new foods too. Boma has plenty of good reviews to back it up. I believe that there are people who just aren't willing to accept new foods if they aren't used to trying new things and probably reject them even if they feel that it was pretty good. It's just the way we are sometimes. I am glad that you liked Boma and I hope that you can bring the others around before you head back to WDW again! :)

Boma used to be our favorite WDW restaurant, but the quality has been slipping over the past several years. So that may have had something to do with the reaction of the others.

Here is one example that immediately comes to mind. The Tuesday/Friday rotation used to have marinated flank steak -- the tastiest meat in the restaurant. That was phased out about 2 years ago, leaving the prime rib at the carving station as the best meat -- not as unique as the flank steak, but still very good. But sometime during last autumn the prime rib was replaced with "strip loin." It is a much less tender piece of meat, and I am not willing to pay for strip loin.

There are a host of other little things noticeable to people who have frequented Boma over the years. The upside is that cutting quality allows Disney to hold down prices, but I would rather pay more for a better experience. As a result, we don't plan to go back to Boma for the foreseeable future.

BOMA is a must do every trip - we love it! All the soups are great, the deserts are delicious (banana bread pudding with vanilla sauce and zebra domes). We love the spices that the meats are cooked in but did notice the change in what cuts they serve on different nights. Besdies the durban chicken and the beef, we tried the pork one night and it was great. No complaints here!

We make a point to get to Boma for dinner on every trip, even from other resorts. Even our kids (ds8, dd5) love the fact that they can have as much pasta and salad as they want, along with trying a few new things! We like to walk around the lodge after dinner, too.

Everyone in my group loved the desserts, we all agreed on that. I also have to agree that the strip loin was not very tasty, but the pork they had that night was very tender. I found that besides teh soups there really weren't that many exotic choices.

We LOVE Boma, we are two adults and two teen-age boys. We are going back again in June and I can't wait!

Breakfast is the best, our fav meal at WDW. We tried dinner in Oct and did not like it at all....the flavorings just didnt do it for us.
