In one of those moments of indecision.

Already holding a Cape May ADR but after reading some great reviews on Boma's breakfast I'm vacillating between them.

Factoring in the following:
We'll have flown in from CA the night prior- possible jet lag?
Sleeping at Beach Club night before- Cape May more convienent?
Animal Kingdom day- earlier start if we opt for Boma?
Dinner reservation for Boma that night.
Food quality is more important than character interaction.

What would you do?

I feel like most of the breakfast food is pretty similar, with Boma obviously having some unique options available.

However, considering you are going to be eating at Boma that night, and you will have flown in the night before - I would just eat breakfast at Cape May since you are right there. Any extra sleep time we could get would benefit my family.

I prefer BOMA definitely, but in your particular situation, just keep Cape May and enjoy BOMA that night. Have a great time!

Boma breakfast is great with many different flavors and offerings. Cape may is a character meal and more traditional offerings. If you want ease then Cape May if a meal full of new flavors think about Boma. You won't go wrong doing Boma for both meals done it a number of times. Also for supper stop by Victoria Falls for a drink and also give yourself plenty of time to find the spot where you can watch the animals using night scope glasses

Boma breakfast is one my top three favorite meals on property. It basically comes down to convenience vs quality. Not that Cape May is bad, but its definitely not Boma.

Boma has the best breakfast buffet on, IMO. Cape May is really good too though and also has characters and we've always had great character interaction there.

Given your scenario, I would go with Cape May for proximity when you wake up (same location as you're staying) and because you already have Boma planned for that evening's dinner, so you'll still get a great Boma experience.

We haven't done Boma, but we flew in from CA and had our first breakfast at Cape May. It was wonderful.

I've eaten at both, and both are really good. I think Boma is slightly over hyped to be honest. I wouldnt go out of my way for it again. Since your going there for dinner already, i'd definitely opt for Cape May. Particularly since your staying at BC. Its far more convenient since your flying in the night before and its located at your resort.

Cape May has great food and i love the characters! Very pretty there too.

Another vote for Cape May in your situation. Actually I don't care for Boma. Cape May is so convenient
Enjoy

We routinely stay at BCV and choose to travel to AK to eat at Boma for breakfast. We don't care about characters, and we enjoy the aesthetic of Boma. In your situation though? I would probably go to Cape May. It's great and convenient. The food is really pretty similar. Cape May IS much more expensive though, because of the characters. That might motivate you too. You are not missing out on a unique experience by skipping boma breakfast though. I would relax and go to the restaurant in your hotel.

Another vote for Cape May! Breakfast at Boma is wonderful, quiet, and peaceful. I highly suggest that you try it once. In your situation with jet leg- I would sleep in and kick off your Disney stay with some wonderful characters! Cape May breakfast is a must do for us- and the food is really great for a breakfast buffet! Please enjoy yourself!

Thank you everyone for the advice/feedback.

Talked it over last night and that extra bit of sleep and waking up over breakfast at the resort won out this time.

Boma breakfast will be on the list for next Spring's return visit though. =)

I don't think you'll be disappointed. We've never eaten at Boma for breakfast, but we love Cape May. Have a great trip! :wizard:

Cape May seems like the better choice due to your circumstances, but I do think the food is much better at Boma.

the fact that you are going to boma at night would make me want to try something different for breakfast. Also since you will be right by Cape May you might as well make it easier on yourselves and go there for breakfast.
