Boma & Touring AKL

We are planning on going to Boma for dinner this March, but are staying off site.

How much looking around AKL can we do before/after dinner?

I actually did quite a bit of looking around. Not only the lobby, but walked down guest hallways and checked out the pool and all the restaurants. Also, they have a culinary tour each day. It starts at Jiko. I believe at 4. I recommend the tour.

When you have a dinner reservation at a disney hotel they give you a three hour parking pass, so lots of time to check out the hotel. We love to look at the animals on the savanna and talk to the cast members from various African countries. The gift shop is very nice and the lobby is full of interesting artifacts. Take your time and enjoy the resort.

Oh there is Soo much to do at AKL, standing in the lobby in front of the huge window is beautiful, walk down those stairs to the trails out back and see animals on the savannah upclose & personal! We've encountered some very knowledgable and friendly cast meembers there too! It really is special!

They have a firepit with cozy rockers, Night time animal viewing, tons of kid activites, earn beads (my kids still treasure) and story telling scheduled throughout the week - I'm not sure if this paragraph of things are for resort guests only - but I know I had to drag my kids away from the resort and into the parks each day!

You get a 3 hour self park pass. If you valet....I'm not sure they would even hold you to that.

You'll have TONS of time to look around, and there's LOTS to explore. Even the hallways of the resort have interesting African Art pieces to check out....and then there's the public viewing areas to see the animals.
