We've never been there and I want to go on the next trip. I just can't decide if it would be better to go for breakfast or for lunch!

any suggestions?

THANKS!!!

....but if you want a more adventurous meal go for dinner. The African flavors really shine during the afternoon/evening dining. Breakfast also has some African flair with dishes like Pap (a type of porridge) Quinoa (a type of grain served as a hot cereal) and some breakfast casseroles. The dinner has some very nice curries, soups, and salads with good regional flavors. One of my favorite items was the hummus (3 different flavors too) with the house made flatbreads (crackers). You will enjoy either breakfast or dinner, but if you have the chance try both!!!

:thumbsup2

But I am not much of breakfast person and I have not tried breakfast here yet.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanks!!! If the menu gets more adventurous at lunch and dinner, I expect I better stick to breakfast. My step kids aren't very adventurous eaters...they aren't over fond of food as it is.

I could expose them to some different foods without totally freaking them out!!

I think I'll try Boma for dinner when my husband and I go on our own in April!:thumbsup2 (gotta love those conventions in Orlando!!! :cool1: )

Both are really good! My favorite part of the breakfast is the omelet station-they are SO yummy!

Breakfast was just like any other breakfast buffet - not much adventure on there and I wasn't too crazy about it in general.

Dinner was very good. Our server was invisible, but other than that we really enjoyed it.

I am one of the 10 people on the Dis who do not like Zebra domes though. I thought they were gross, but I think that I am only one who feels that way.:rotfl:

definitely agree. Both are good, but the food a breakfast is much more similar to the food you'll find at any other restaurant for breakfast. If you want to eat at Boma for its regional African cuisine, I think that dinner would be the way to go.

It's not open for lunch, if that's an issue. Just breakfast and dinner. I'm sure breakfast is great, but I loved our dinners there.

Loved the dinner there the other night - everything was excellent especially the squash soup. I am with the previous post about the zebra domes being blah. Now the flan was something I am still dreaming about!

Breakfast is breakfast nothing too wild in there.Dinner IMO is better ,neither of my kids were very adventurous either but there was plently or things to keep them happy.:thumbsup2

We LOVE dinner here.... my DD is a vegetarian and does great here... she is also allergic to nuts.... my DS is very picky but loves this place...... the food sounds exotic, and some of it has some spice to it, but in general it is just delicious food!!!

We went with relatives who are NOT adventerous at all..plain meat and potatoes kind of people. They LOVED Boma for dinner! They found things that they considered "safe" and "basic" as well as being adventerous and tried a couple new things. They even wanted to go again.

Breakfast was same old, same old....we had better breakfasts at Mara.

So I highly recommend dinner at Boma!

I beg to differ with those who say the breakfast at Boma is the same as every other WDW breakfast buffet. Nowhere on property will you be able to have Quinoa, Pap, Boboti, and the curry spiced breakfast casserole (can't remember the name). These items are exclusive to this restaurant and make it a very interesting meal. If you stick to the omelet station, scrambled eggs, and French toast you are missing what makes the trip to Boma so special. Don't forget the wonderful Kenyan coffee served there too......it is a wonderfully unique coffee and only available at Boma.

:thumbsup2

I can't comment on breakfast because we haven't had Boma's breakfast, but we had dinner there on the 15th and it was delicious!!! The food sounds exotic but it really isn't. It isn't even really that spicy. It was lots of grains and vegetables and the like, all seemed very healthy which I was happy about. Lots of familiar flavors actually. They even have your standard mac and cheese, salads and pasta w/sauce for those who like to stick to the basic fare. They even have your typical roasted meats for the meat and potatoes people. But what we did was take a little bit of each thing that looked good to us, and we went back for more of our favorites and left the stuff we didn't like. It was great! We will definitely be going back.

Both breakfast and dinner are wonderful at Boma. My children can be picky eaters at time but both enjoyed their meals at Boma.

Boma doesn't serve lunch. We have been for breakfast and dinner in the same weekend, they are totally different and both are excellent. So, just fit one into your schedule and you will love it.

Both OP and PP mentioned Lunch...Boma is a Breakfast and Dinner option, not lunch. In fact breakfast ends there sooner than many, 10:30am so you'd be pressed to even consider it a brunch.

Oh yea, which one? We've only been to dinner and LOVED it. In fact you could make a buffet just out of the soup station!

We've got an ADR for 10:00am.....What if they don't seat us right away? Are we out of luck? Or do they just stop seating at 10:30 for breakfast, but continue to serve till the restaurant clears?
