I was super excited to get an 8am ADR at BOG for our trip in 2 weeks. When I made the reservation a few months ago, the park opening was 9am. They recently changed it to 8am. Is there any benefit to keeping the ADR? What time can you get in the park with an 8am ADR? If we preorder can we just grab our food and go and still be ahead of the rope drop crowd? I'm guessing no but wanted to check before I cancelled it. Thanks!

You can get in with everyone else at 7:45, keeping in mind that now everyone, ADR or not, gets in at 7:45 with the early open of Main Street.

You will be behind the rope drop crowd, as they will be moving from the castle area in at 8AM. BOG will not open any earlier than 8.

If you genuinely are interested in having breakfast at BOG, I would try to move the reservation to a late morning time like 10 or so. Then still plan to arrive pre RD and enjoy doing some attractions with low waits before the hoards really start filling up the park. BOG is a great value if you are on a DDP too. Just my 2 cents.

If my PPO ADR to BOG no longer stays ppo (which I am anticipating...it's on a Saturday), I will cancel it. I don't want to waste the first park hour in a restaurant.

You are at a huge disadvantage. All the people getting in at 8 with you will be going straight for the rides. Sorry, this stinks.

Yup. We had a PPO ADR at CP for 8. As of today, I think, MK is now open at 8am when we're there in Feb. Sigh. The characters are the most important to us, so it's now a 4:45 dinner instead. Food will be bleh, but I'm not losing prime park time for breakfast! Most complicated part was moving our FP for 7D (for 8 of us!) but I got it all to work out, I hope.

Cancel, unless you really want to eat there. You have lost any advantage other than having breakfast in the the Beast's castle. Try for lunch. Sometimes there are last minute cancellations the day before.

1) Cannot figure why book an over-priced meal, just for PPO?
2) With the Rope Drop time change for the park, there is no PPO advantage.
3) You DO NOT get in earlier than others - still a cattle-stampede down Main Street.

Reports are now, this is eliminated. May be the only improvement to some, in the new castle show location. Casual walk down Main St vs. a stampede in front of CM with ropes
