BOG or California Grill for dinner?

I was able to get ADR for both restaurants for the same day and it's for 8:35 for BOG or 8:55 for California Grill. I'm torn as to which one to keep. Park closes at 11pm that day. Do I miss Wishes if I do BOG? Which one would you pick?

I would do California Grill over BOG. The meal we had at BOG a couple of years ago was terrible, the meal at California Grill will be much better.

Signature vs. Table Service? Not even a contest, signature wins everytime in my book and California Grill is one of our favorites. Great food, amazing views, and fireworks if the timing is right.

Wishes is 9 pm.

With BOG you will totally miss Wishes, there is zero view from inside.

With California Grill you can see Wishes and eat your meal after.
Check in early (try 8:20) and tell them you want to go up and watch the fireworks.

Love CG and doubt I will ever do dinner at BOG again.

Yeah. You will not be seated (or ordered) for a 9PM Wishes with an 8:55 ADR. But you can go onto the deck, and then the prior diner will clear out "your" table, they'll clear it, and it'll be a smooth sail.

BOG, you miss everything and then are stuck eating there.

BOG is a very attractive cafeteria.
The California Grill is a Restaurant.

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

WIll you have already seen WIshes, or will you have a chance to see it later in the trip?

If this day is your only chance to see it, I would scrap both ADR's. This is the last chance for WIshes, it is going away, and it is different inside the park, so if you view it from CG you will see a lovely show, but no Castle projections. If seeing Wishes is simply a bonus with dinner, and you will see it from inside the park during your trip, then CG hands down. If not, no way would I miss it from MAin Street, or in my sad case, I never saw it from behind the Castle, and thought I would "another time", which isn't happening for me now.

My kids love both.

We enjoyed our dinner at BOG, but the food is much better at CG.

BOG was a fun experience, and the kids want to do it again, but they also LOVED being doted on by our wonderful server at CG.

I would say definitely CG to watch Wishes before your meal! Watching the fireworks from the rooftop is definitely beyond magical! We were able to get in for the 4th of July celebration and saw the whole thing from up there. It's a MUST DO! Plus the food is better

I'd choose California Grill. I wasn't really impressed with the atmosphere at BOG.

I like Cali grill but would choose BOG for dinner. Wishes from Cali Grill is not even close to watching it from Main Street.
