BOG new test lunch res online?

You can't order more adult meals at one time than adults listed on your reservation. So if your kttw/mb lists 2 adults 1 child it will not let you order 3 adult meals at one time.

Did anyone pre-order for a child? I am just curious. I had heard the cupcakes aren't included for the child but I ordered one for him anyway thinking it would show my the OOP total. All it said on my order page was that I would be using 4 QS entitlements and a $0 balance.
Not a big deal if we get charged when we get there, or if it uses a snack credit, I just thought it would say one or the other.

You can just add the extra desserts to the adult meals and use them as a snack credit when you get there and pay.

We pre-ordered for next month. Is there a way to get cups of water once you're there? DS doesn't drink anything else & DH & I are cutting back. And we're cheap. Lol

They have a self serve beverage center. Water included.

Are you sure? I put my food order in and it says $0 balance. Will that change once I get there? I only have one adult one child on my reservation. I guess if they try charging me I'll just change my order to a kid's meal and share my cupcake.

If you order a child's meal then you get one entree and 2 sides, no dessert. You will have to pay extra for the cupcake. However, you can order an adult QS meal for your child which includes one entree, one drink and one dessert. QS credits are not divided between adult and child like TS credits. So your child can eat adult QS meals all vacation long!

I found this out my last trip in September, when I called to find out how many credits I had left. I had one child QS credit but the lady on the phone said "one QS credit", so I asked. She explained it. The next day I bought an adult QS meal with it. Yahoo!:cool1:

This used to be true, but isn't true any more. The system does distinguish between QS kid and QS adult, and you can't order an adult meal for the kid b/c it will eat into your adult credits. There are entire threads on this subject, at least from when the change first occurred.

We went again today - I was a little concerned after the FP site had been offline for the last few days, and that was heightened when it took the CM a couple of mins to find our 'reservation' (first time they'd found it as fast as they do for an ADR).

Anyway, all was well and we were sent over the bridge. We'd pre-ordered this time, but the CM still seemed to want to put us into the ordering queue and I had to be quite insistent that we didn't need to do this. All they did then was scan my band and had me sign the slip.

A slightly daft thing - keep the slip to hand! I had it originally, then my wife had looked at it and popped it into her back pocket - we struggled to find it when the server arrived and there was no way she was giving us our food until we produced the slip!

Bummer. Thanks for letting me know.

Are you sure? The system always shows what is the party type in the reservation, ie 2A and 2C for example. That means that if I try to order 4 adult meals, I cannot - I can only order up to 2 adult meals.

However the total number of meal QS meal entitlements on the system is 4 per day - not 2 adult and 2 kids. If the reservation is for 5 nights, I would have a total of 20 entitlements.

Therefore, I can go an order two adult QS on one transaction and another two adult order from a separate transaction. After these two transactions I would have used 4 QS entitlements and have 16 left.

Now, on sit down QS services like Pepper Market or BOG, you can only order up to the total number of entitlements shown on the card, ie 2 adults.

I know this is slightly different, but I had a brain fart at Yak and Yeti when two of us were dining and asked if we could order 3 meals using table service DDP to share them. Server said it was no problem.

UK visitors on QSDP often end up with loads of QS credits left over (a family of 4 staying for 2 weeks would get 112 of them) and frequently use them to pay for other guest's meals and I've never heard of a problem relating to party size. It's often stated on the UK forums that in practice there's no separation of child and adult QS credits - in fact the other day my wife was behind a UK family at the podium and they were shocked they still had 30 something credits left, and it just showed as a single number (they queried it as didn't know what the number meant!).

Mine says the same:confused3. I guess we'll find out when we get there. I have no problem paying OOP for the cupcake, I just wondered why it wasn't reflected on the final total.

I pre-ordered a cupcake for my DD9 for our BOG lunch last month. Mine also showed $0 balance due since I had entered that we were on the dining plan. However, when we checked in and paid for our meals, I had to pay OOP for her cupcake, as it's not included in the kids meal. For the QS meals, kids get a choice of 2 sides...a chocolate chip cookie is available as one of these "sides", so that's their dessert item.

Thanks for the explanation. I, like many others it seems, assumed that you could order a cupcake for the kids as their dessert, especially when it didn't show up as a "charge". Actually, I'm not even seeing the chocolate chip cookie option when I select sides for my kids.... Is that something you have to request, as a substitution?

Mine said if you do not have enough dining plan credits to cover what you've ordered, you will be charged while there. We bought an extra cupcake for the kids to share too! :)

I pre-ordered today & I thought it read that a child's QS included 1 entree, 1 side, and 1 drink. That's what I ordered for each child.

I was able to use link provided by a Dis thread from a few mos ago to pick a time and preorder food. I recd a confirmation which I have printed and brought with me but nothing is showing up under my MDE plans or fast passes or reservations. Do I just take the copy I have with me to BOG? Has anybody shown up at their correct time and been turned away?
