BOG new test lunch res online?

WOOOOOHOOOOO December FP scheduled! :cheer2: Now, the question to order the meal in advance or not? I don't want my traveling partners to think I'm completely NUTS by asking what they want to eat next month and I don't want to miss out on any cool scenery by being rushed through. However, I don't really want to waste a bunch of time either. What do you guys think?!

I tried that one as well. Perhaps has something to do with this being our 2nd time getting a FP+ for BOG? We booked lunch in October.

Yes, if you have already used the BOG FP+ system it will only allow you to book for the next seven days.

in advance. Skipping the LOOOOONG line will be enough for us and, although the ressie shows 4 of us (me twice for some strange reason), we will most likely order only 2 meals and a soup and split that. Did not actually look to see if a meal had to be ordered for everyone listed. I cannot ask DH what he'll want for lunch. He already thinks I'm crazy. But he does LOVE skipping to the front of long lines!!!

Booked our FP+ for 12/10! :cool1:

Opted not to pre-order the meal though, DW may change her mind AND we won't be in any hurry, so we'll wait for our food and enjoying the ambiance and taking a nice break on Day 2 at MK. :thumbsup2

There were two on my reservation, but knowing were were only going to want a light lunch, I only ordered one salad, one soup, and one dessert ahead of time. No problems. So no restrictions on meal ordering.

Pre-order is open until the day or two before your reservation, so you can always change your mind!

I know that's true. Originally DH was going to join me, so I'd preordered for 2 people. However, I showed up alone (no one in that long line wanted to eat with me!), so I had to change my preorder to just my food.

Oh, I just noticed-it may look like we had a fight! In actuality, DH had to fly home early.

Have you used a BOG FP+ before? If so, the system will only make the next 7 days available to you.

But that was 2 months ago! Wow. OK. I figured out a way around it anyway, I created a new Disney account with another email address and could access the later dates by logging on with my new magic band reservation number.

Thanks for the info!

Did anyone pre-order for a child? I am just curious. I had heard the cupcakes aren't included for the child but I ordered one for him anyway thinking it would show my the OOP total. All it said on my order page was that I would be using 4 QS entitlements and a $0 balance.
Not a big deal if we get charged when we get there, or if it uses a snack credit, I just thought it would say one or the other.

Does anyone know if this uses one of your three fastpass+ selections for the day? I am thinking of booking, but I don't want to give up one of our rides for it since we already have a dinner.

I just got to book my BOG lunch and my 3 fp for rides have been chosen for weeks now. I did not have to give one of them up. So I actually got 4 for this day. I asked my TA she stated the BOG was a separate FP BUT only Room only reservations were being able to test this. I am not a room only so she was shocked that I was able to do this as a FP+.

Not sure if this helped :thumbsup2

A lot of TAs don't know about this since it's not really "official" or promoted by Disney. My TA was surprised about it too, she thought it was for Disney Visa members only!

If you order a child's meal then you get one entree and 2 sides, no dessert. You will have to pay extra for the cupcake. However, you can order an adult QS meal for your child which includes one entree, one drink and one dessert. QS credits are not divided between adult and child like TS credits. So your child can eat adult QS meals all vacation long!

I found this out my last trip in September, when I called to find out how many credits I had left. I had one child QS credit but the lady on the phone said "one QS credit", so I asked. She explained it. The next day I bought an adult QS meal with it. Yahoo!:cool1:

BTW in September none of the QS kid's meals came with dessert, they came with 2 sides. So this time instead of giving my kid my dessert I'll get her an adult meal. It's Free Dining so I don't mind "wasting".
