BOG new test lunch res online?

What is the one walking one day at a time?
you are allowed to make one for any of the first 7 days of your reservation. If you are staying 10 days, your 8th - 10th day will open up 7 days prior. That's is only if you haven't used it on those previous 7 days.

However that may not be true for December. It is still a mystery.

Our arrival window was 11:40 - 11:55.

And I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but there was no one either right before us, or right after us in the FP line that I could see.

when we were there on 10/20 there were 2 parties ahead of us. One had FP (I assumed a DISer) and a woman who was trying to talk her way into being given FP for lunch or ADR for that night. She had no luck on lunch and was told to come back at dinner and she might or might not get in if she was willing to wait. The regular line was SO long and it was hot; very glad I found the link here and was able to book and use the FP, no way we would have waited in that line.

Just read in another thread, in the dining reservation forum, that someone called 3 times and spoke to 3 different CM's about BOG FP+ for December. Each CM had the same story - people have been able to "trick" the BOG FP+ page into giving them a time by using their reservation number, even though they never received the invitation, but this has changed and that BOG FP+ is now "truly invitation only for December." They apparently said that if you are invited you will receive a special reservation number that will open up the December dates when you log in. So, take it for what it's worth. I'm amongst those painfully waiting for December 1.

On another note, I emailed customer support about the non-functioning BOG FP+ button on the restaurant's reservation page (the one that says "request fastpass+", but then just redirects you to the regular FP+ area without BOG as an option). I noted that it has been on the site for at least a month now and asked when will it be functional. The response I received was just a cut and paste spiel about BOG, that they've been accepting ADR's since August of 2012, you can make a reservation at 180 days, they are quick service at lunch, yadda, yadda, yadda. There was no acknowledgement of my question at all. I replied and said thanks, I don't need info about the restaurant and you didn't answer my question, which I restated. I have not received a response. Either the CM was evading my question or is really thick. Either is a very distinct possibility.

ETA: Interestingly, I just went onto the WDW site to check if the BOG request FP+ link was finally functional (I check every few days) and it was gone. I was logged in and couldn't see it at all. I tried a few times.

We had a fastpass for lunch on Nov 3rd at 10:30am. We walked right up past the long line just before BOG opened and were the first ones to walk in the day! Awesome! :thumbsup2

:flower3: Thanks for sharing that info...I hadn't heard it before. I am hoping for December, like so many others.

Thanks to the poster who posted the link. We used it to sign-up and pre-order our meals. It worked for us this past weekend and it was a great lunch! :cool1:

when I check from my desktop computer, it goes right to my ressie dates to select a date (looking for Dec) but, when I use my phone, i can "not" choose a date and it gives me today with times available.

So my hope is that, if Dec does not open, I can get a day of time slot on my phone.

Hope Hope Hope Hope

What information do you need when you show up for you FP+?
I booked mine a few weeks ago, but I don't have a # or anything. I just went back into the site to confirm, and it is listed.

We used the FP+ option while there in October. Through the info we found here, I was able to get our FP+ before we arrived. Ironically or not, the second email I received from Disney after we had arrived and checked in at BLT, was an invitation to try out a FP+ at BOG. My wife and I both laughed pretty hard at that one.

We had our FP+ for 10/16. That morning, we logged back in and chose what each of us wanted to eat. During the day, I was able to push our arrival time back while we were waiting to ride the Barnstormer. When we arrived at BOG, the CM working the desk was thrilled that they were able to find our FP+. Apparently, they were having system issues that morning. They sent us right in and before I got the chance to swipe my band at the podium, someone was already calling me up to confirm my order. It was, dare I say, like Magic! pixiedust:

We had a great meal, that was sooooo easy!! I can't wait to try it again next year! Hopefully, WDW does not mess with it too much!

I just printed the page of the BOG website that showed my name, fastpass time, date, etc. and took that with us on Nov. 3rd. Had no problems getting in with just that. I did preselect our meals and that apparently didn't save, but no biggie, we just ordered again when we got there.

I wondered if this was the case. Bummer. Thanks for the info. :sad1:

Went to lunch at BOG yesterday using our FP+. We were disappointed and did not finish our meals.

We have had dinner there on our last few trips. We enjoyed the dinners the first time but not so much the second time.

Curious...

Has anyone used the same day default (where if you don't choose a date, it takes you to reservation selections for the current/today's date) on beourguestlunch to successfully reserve a time and had that reservation honored?

I'm grasping at straws.. that first week in December is getting close & I'm losing hope of getting a FP + lunch invitation to participate in the test.

We're in the same boat as you, staying the first week of December. I do remember reading a post a while ago in which someone had received an invitation only a few days before their trip. This info was corroborated by another poster who said a CM told them if you get an invite it would be just before your arrival. Still a faint hope for us that those invites will come in the next few weeks ...

I have a "fake" reservation:rotfl2:, but I'm hoping for a real one. I'm 10 days out and I just went back through all of my emails and I don't have anything from them about it. I will post here if we get one.

your "fake" reservation will work in November. Log back in and either print or screenshot your confirmation for backup.

The poster who mentioned receiving an invitation just before their arrival date, literally meant just a couple of days, like one or two. If you've been chosen to get one chances are you haven't received it yet.

ETA: obviously you haven't received it yet, because you said you haven't! I meant it wouldn't have been sent out yet!
