Just back from Disney, and wanted to share my BOG experience with you.
I had booked our reservation online using the MB # that starts with a 4, just like all of you are doing now.
I had no problem booking, or even changing things a few times.
We were a party of 2, and we had pre-selected our meals at the time we booked. 2 steak sandwiches, one without the sauce.
I was so nervous that something would go wrong......that we would arrive and be turned away because we didn't actually get an email invite to be a tester.
On the day of our reservation, we arrived a few mins into our arrival time window.
The standby line was loooooooooooooong.
We stepped to the left of the standby line, where there is a little stone check in area that is right next to stroller parking.
I gave my name, was greeted with a smile and told to proceed forward and Tyler would meet us.
Oh, that walk past all of those folks waiting in standby was fun!!! However, we did get a few dirty looks too

When we approached the castle entrance Tyler came out and greeted me by name!! He escorted us in and handed us over to a lady on the left who had a small portable scanner and a small desk area. She confirmed that we had pre-ordered our meal, read our selections off to us and since everything was correct, she scanned my Magic Band, gave us a receipt and told us to go find a table anywhere we would like and our food would be brought to us !
Easy, peasey!
We really wanted to sit in the West Wing but no tables were available there, so we selected a table in the main ballroom. DH went to get our drinks while I sat and marveled at the beauty of this restaurant!
Then it dawned on me............"WAIT!! How would they know where we are sitting? I was not given a little red plastic rose???".
Dh went to ask someone, and came back smiling. He was told that because my band had been scanned, my band talks to the kitchen, who talks to the server, and tells them where we are. So it was very important that my band remain at the table until our food arrived. Technology is amazing isn't it??
In about 10-12 minutes our food came out, exactly what we ordered, even no sauce for me. Everything was great!!
The one down side to pre-ordering is that we did not get to experience the ordering kiosks or the wall of armored men who whisper to each other.
So, if that part interests you, you may not want to pre-order your meal.
I hope all of you enjoy your BOG meal as much as we did !!!
