BOG lunch without reservation

We are visiting the first week in March and BOG lunch is our favorite place to eat in MK. I have seen a few people post that they were able to walk up without a reservation with success. All of these have been early with only 2 people though.

We are a party of 3 and I haven't been able to find any reservations available for our dates (we will have hoppers). I don't like to make a lot of reservations anyway and don't overly plan our trips so that we are flexible (and I already have 3 dining reservations). I was able to secure an 8:00 breakfast reservation but that's purely for extra access to the parks. We want to eat lunch there at least once if not twice.

Has anyone had success with a party of 3? We don't mind trying early or late.

I can't speak about walk ups because we've always had reservations. My best advice is to keep checking. We will be there 2/24 - 3/3 and just this morning, I just got a BOG lunch on 3/2 at 12:55 pm for 2 people.

I saw people turned away when we were waiting to check in for our lunch. I would keep checking for an ADR because we got ours for Thanksgiving trip a month or two before we went.

AFAIK, they don't keep anything aside for walk-ups so if they have no available ADRs I would make the assumption that it means that they are fully booked and will not have room for walk-ups. Unless they suddenly have a lot of no-shows around the time that you want to be there, which seems unlikely given the $10 no-show fees, I would just keep trying for a time. People do cancel and change around their ADRs. If you aren't able to find something, try first thing in the morning on the day you want to go. You may get a cancellation then.

While I haven't heard of BOG accepting walk-ups in a while, I have heard about difficulties in trying to get ADRs for odd-numbered groups. I suggest trying for an ADR for 4 people since you won't be charged a no-show as long as 1 person shows up.

I have seen people turned away on past trips but on 12/27 and 12/28 we saw them taking every walk up that arrived while we were waiting in line. I do not know party size but was very shocked to see them accepting them on those two very busy days.

I would try to walk in if you cannot find an ADR before you get to the park. You know that if there is no room you can eat at another CS restaurant, so no harm in trying.

Every time we have been to BoG we've seen people turned away trying to walk-in. I definitely wouldn't count on being able to do it. But I wouldn't stop checking for ADRs. They pop up randomly all the time. I got a BoG ADR for friends just one week prior to their trip.

We had 2 members of our party go to BOG for the CS lunch twice during Christmas week, both times walk up with no wait. There was a walk up party of five in front of them who were also let in.
