Do we know if anything else is changing with the new lunch ADR's, for example, do we know if the beast be there, like he is for dinner?

Trying to decide if I should go for a lunch ADR once they open up, or keep my existing dinner reservation?

No one knows for sure but based on everything I have read, lunch will be no different than it is now except that you'll be able to make an ADR rather than a FP.

That would mean no beast, seat yourself, QS credit, preorder food and they bring it out to you, etc.

What else is different, I've never been, so aside from the menu, and the beast, are there any other differences?

Well lunch is quick service and dinner is table service so there are a lot of difference. The way it currently is at lunch (and presumably will stay the same after the ADRs are implemented) is that you can either pre-order your food or order at the counter. You will enter the restaurant and sit in whichever room you like. A CM will deliver the food to your table (they'll locate you by Magic Band) and you will get your own drinks, silverware, etc from the drink station.

Dinner is table service, so you'll be seated by a host/hostess, have a server who will take your order and deliver your food, clear your plates, get your drinks, etc. The same as any other TS. Also different menu, and the opportunity to meet the Beast.

We prefer lunch because we like the lunch food options better and the ability to sit wherever we want. Dinner can be more relaxing and time consuming with a server, etc.

When lunch switches to ADR, it's speculated that everything will be the same as lunch currently is - just that it will be with an ADR rather than a FP (which is how you currently reserve it)

Thanks nkereina - that's very helpful! I actually like the idea of both options, and will have to decide. I do have an extra TS credit to use so it'd be nice to use one here. But with lunch, I like the idea of being able to sit where we want!

Also a question about dinner, can you at least ask to be seated in a certain room, or do you have no choice in the matter?

Definitely depends on what you want. I will say that a BOG dinner ADR is still a coveted, hard to get one so that speaks to the popularity of it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed either way - we love it!

You can definitely ask but it would probably depend on how busy they are, if they will accommodate requests. If you're going at an off time - early dinner or late dinner - it would help your chances.

Thanks- my only concern would be the west wing room, I think it would scare DD a bit, but it also looks like that's the smallest of the rooms

One more question nkereina (thanks for answering my questions!) if you're seated in one room, can you venture out to view the other 2, or are you just being a nuisance to other guests at that point? That's the last thing I'd want to do is be a bother to others eating

When we went for dinner last fall, only the main ballroom was open. The two smaller rooms on the side wasn't even available for seating.

they can open or close any of the side rooms if they want. At times the Rose Gallery won't be open for dinner. Apparently sometimes they close off the West Wing too.

Definitely! A lot of people were walking around taking photos. I think it's to be expected there.

Is it worth it going here for lunch? The menu looks boring, just mainly sandwiches.

Well, it's lunch and it's quick service. I wouldn't expect gourmet. Dinner has more substantial entrees if that's what you're looking for.

We had the ham & cheese and roast beef sandwiches - both were good. More unique than burgers and fries, and fairly large portion. It was also worth it just to see the inside of BOG, and especially worth it for those who can't get a dinner ADR.
