BOG Lunch - Boom or Bust?

Sanaa after dark, so your girls won't even be able to see the animals out the window, probably won't work for a 3 and 6 year. It is definately more of an adult dining palatte menu.
BOG has very good lunch food. I recommend the Braised Pork, they call it Slow-Cooked Pork on the kids menu. It tastes the same as pot roast. The kids grilled shrimp on the kids menu is also good, if your 6 year old eats shrimp. I love the chocolate cream puff myself, but everyone needs to try the Master's Cupcake once--maybe the girls can split it. Tastes like cookies and cream jello fluff. (Warning, don't try to unwrap it, no on can, and you will just destroy it in the process. Eat it out of the wrapper, or run your knife around the edge to get it out.)
For girls that age, go with BOG.

I don't understand your "Disney expert friends" reference to wait time. Perhaps they haven't been since it went to reservation only? So they are referring to standing on the bridge in the sun, waiting for a walk-in? Sounds like questionable "Disney experts".

Thank you so much! I love the perspective and the advice from real experts. Disboards is the best!

Thank you. I've made my decision...BOG it is! Thank you so much!

I think you will enjoy it. BOG is my favorite lunch in the MK, and I always order the same thing: Braised pork. It is just like muy Mom used to make for dinner. Take time to check out the Castle, there are a lot of details that add to the experience, and help take away from the giant cafeteria feeling.

I love BOG, but when we went with the kids they hated the food. If they like something on the menu I would keep the reservation. Preordering is pretty fast and it is really beautiful inside. I've never been to Saana but I've heard good things, the food is a little too exotic for me

Personally, I prefer Sanaa to BoG.
Given the ages of your kids, definitely do BoG. Depending on how adventurous your kids are, they may or may not like the choices at Sanaa.
A separate option that is very good is Boma. Probably one of, if not the best buffet at WDW. Great selection for adventurous and non adventurous people.

I have reservations for Sanaa @ 7pm and BOG lunch 1:30 pm. I have two girls ages 3 and 6 at the time of the trip. I have mixed reviews from my Disney expert friends. Some say that BOG lunch food is poor and the wait time is not worth it. I hear the Sanaa is great, but better with older kids.

I need to decide soon, but I can't! I need some advice - I'm lost. Thank you!

If you are concerned about wait time at BOG, keep in mind that you'll have to factor in travel time to get to dinner at Sanaa if you are going on a MK day.

Question...last time I was at BOG, you ordered at the register, they seated you and the food was brought to your table by a person pushing a tea cart. Is it still that way?

Thank you. I've made my decision...BOG it is! Thank you so much!
If you've never tried it, go once. It's pretty, hectic, food is average. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. However, if its a MK day, see if you can do your 7DMT before you eat- its right next door.

My views of be our guest vary tremendously-
Our last breakfasts- wonderful.
Dinner-dds was not edible & so not worth the price-simply to meet the beast.
Lunch-weve experiences more negatives than positives.
Was willing to give it a final try-
But it was awful.
Preordered and still waited.
Food was ugh
Service was terrible
Main hall was messy.

We shall only ever return for pre park opening benefit.
