There is no show during dinner, but the Beast is supposed to (or can) appear.
Dinner is table service where you're seated and your server takes your order off the dinner menu, vs. the quick service mode for lunch where you order at the kiosks (or preorder) and your food is delivered to you.
Dinner is a TS, so there is a different menu, you can order beer and wine, a waiter takes your order and serves you, and there is usually an opportunity to meet the beast after dinner (he doesn't stop by tables)
The only "show" in BOG is the view from the window in the main dining room which makes it appear it's snowing or in the West Wing room where the rose is on a table and appears to be losing petals. Every so often there is music and the Beast briskly walks through the main dining room to "greet" his guests and then heads to the meet and greet area. We enjoyed our meet and greet with the Beast and he was good with my 2yo who was a little unsure at first. Other than that no difference from another table service location, though the food is mediocre.
Yeah...no show...barely any character interaction (Beast walks through and does photos) and that's about it. This to me may be the most overrated dining experience in WDW.
We really enjoyed the ambiance...but I was also feeling like it was a bit of a let down. We waited forever to get in...meal was good, the castle was cool. But I was disappointed that there wasn't more of a 'show....'
