BOG booked for week of 12/1 thru 12/7

Tuesday was our 180 and we got everything but BOG and we are a party of
2. We tried for the 2nd or 4th. We did get Ohana with no issues. Hopefully something will open up.

I used the old site and got everything...even BOG as I posted above...

It seems like using the old site might make a huge difference. I've seen several folks already mentioning that they used the old site and had success securing BoG ressies. I only have a party of 2, but I wasn't able to get a reservation for any time the entire week. I started trying at exactly 6 a.m. I dealt with BoG before any of my other reservations, which also turned out so-so. I'm still bitter. I know folks say to hold out and keep looking, but I'm feeling kind of

Somehow, other folks who used the site at the same time, with the old site, were able to not only get BoG ressies, but also to get them for families of FOUR or more! It makes me wonder whether WDW gives a higher preference to larger families because it means more $$$$$.

How do you switch to the old Disney World Site? I don't have the option on top to covert back to it. Hope more reservations open up for those of you who didn't get in the last few days.

What is MDE? My 180 mark is tonight at 3:00am here, and im trying to get my list ready now

My Disney Experience-the new site. I had no problems at all with it. I had already linked my package reservation when I first booked it about a month and a half ago. I logged in, brought up each restaurant that I wanted to make ADR's for, and on the right side there is a little heart icon that you can click to add the restaurant to your wish list. This way I had all of the restaurants I wanted in one place and all I had to do was click on each one and put in the date and time.

I feel badly for everyone who is having so much trouble with the new site to make dining ressies-I used it for my last trip too.

I think one thing that may have helped me is that I was only looking for a party of 2 for everything.

I was able to get 2 ressies today. One for the 3rd and one for the 7th. The first for a party of 6 and the second for a party of 4. I did use the old site. I was able to pull them on the new site as well. I was on two different computers.

The numbers of 2 tops is very limited. They were probably all taken before your window opened up. When I travel with just my older kid, I struggle to get many of the reservations I want. Disney seating in restaurants is usually for families.

I have seen you on every BOG post whining about how others are getting something you couldn't. Instead of doing that you should just continue to try. Maybe if you have a better attitude about it, something good will happen for you. Positive thinking goes a lot further. :thumbsup2

I think it's fair to discuss issues with the ADR system where others can see them and learn about them, hopefully sooner than me. For instance, if it's true that families of four have priority over groups of two, as you say, then folks planning trips for just two will need to factor this into their touring plans and their budget (why bother with the dining plan?). I had not learned this at any point in my research over the past few months.

I also think it's fair to inquire as to how others were able to secure something in the exact same time window while my computer, hooked up at 300mbps and logged on at the exact moment, failed to show any such openings. It turns out that the old site does have some sort of advantage over the newer one. If I could have gone back in time, I would have taken that route.

I don't appreciate your gibe about me "whining". There's no need for personal gibes in these forums (or elsewhere for that matter).

Had a reservation for the last day of my trip 12/8 and then when I went to confirm it, server went down. Luckily I was able to tinker with the party size and time and find another one for 7:00pm that night

I just don't understand why people don't just call 1-407-WDW-DINE. I called Sun am and got all my ADRs done in 20 minutes. I got BOG, Ohana, Chef Mickey and others. The CM are very helpfully helping you get times you want and offering alternatives.

How do you reach a live person? When I called it kept giving me automated menus and having me state the restaurant and time etc, then the auto reply answered.

I called this morning as well as looking online. They are looking at the same thing we see online, just quicker. I just wish they had a toll free number!

Like you we wanted to try to get BOG, but instead of getting mad, we just booked elsewhere. Maybe you could go for lunch.

What exactly does this mean? I'm unaware of the +10 part.
Thank you.

When you hit your 180 day mark, you can book up to 10 days worth of your stay. (If staying at a WDW resort) Today was my 180th day, but I was able to book my whole stay, not just today.

Toll free number? Wow, haven't heard that in a long time.....with the advent of nationwide calling both landline and cell phone it's unusual to find anyone that is charged long distance in this country (and I hope I'm right that you're in this country....your profile says IN, which I am thinking means Indiana and while I'm typing this is thinking, maybe it means something else, lol).

They can actually look at several days at once....something I wish we could see. I think it's rather common for people to be thinking "I want to go to xyz on this day or that day or that one" so being able to ask "when is there a lunch reservation at blah between this day and that" would be a lot more efficient.

180 + 10 is only available to folks staying at Disney resorts. The rest of us have to call each day's 180 mark to try and secure reservations for that day of our vacation.

Yes Indiana. It still uses our minutes, and we only have a limited number to use in our plan. Our landline only has a limited number of nationwide minutes as well. I hate wasting them being on hold. So yes, a toll free number would be nice.
