Body size limits

Hey Sunking,

Will you report back after your preview visit. I specifically want to know if it turns
you upside down.

I'm pretty brave, but I can't stand being turned upside down.

Thanks,

Tumbleweed

Tumbleweed,
There are no loops on EE. Feel free to ride!

Have any of you larger sized folks (over 250) ever gone on the Segway tour? I know it says 250 limit, but I wanted to know if anyone went anyway. Hubby is about 270, and I was hoping he could get on anyway.

I wouldn't try it. As the other post said - you could lose the payment. Plus, when I made my reservation, we were given a minimum weight of 100 and max of 250 so I would guess that it has to do with the balancing of the machine.
And if he was over and something happened to the machine, I'm sure the contract would hold him responsible and they are expensive! How long until you go? Motivation?

I think the weight limits on the segway are to do with how long the thing will run for. if you are heavier, you wont get around the park on the tour.. as the battery wont last as long..
hope that helps!

I apologize if I've scared off any posters due to my request for no debates. I appreciate all the feedback thus far, from thin and large people alike! No one has said anything insensitive or insulting thus far, so keep those opinions/ideas coming.

Happy posting one and all!

How are the seats at the Sci-Fi Dine In at MGM?

I thought I saw another thread,.. that there was a problem with fitting into the car shaped booths?

WICKED Tight for anyone that is "Pooh" sized, but that shouldn't stop anyone from going. They have "picnic" tables in the back and regular tables that have the car fronts and backs. If you make a PS, just let them know when you check in. They are really great about accomodating those types of requests. :)

Unfortunatly I was given Ms Andersons assets (and would swap them for anything) and I find most rides ok, though montu at busch gardens really hurts

Go and try it and dont be ashamed if you dont fit, it happens, its happened to me too, and if anyone comments about it just smile and remember theyre the ones with issues not you (I had a not so nice cast member at ioa comment that my chest wouldnt go in the harness, but guess what it did!!)

Am I the only one that finds Dumbo impossibly small? I'm a size 10/12 and w/70 pounds of 2 kids next to me my kids were complaining that I was squishing them!

yeah yeah it's a kiddie ride but Alladin's carpet is MUCH roomier!

my issue w/sci-fi (aside from the so-so food) is that you don't sit across from eachother. you sit just like you do in a car so if you're in front your either ignoring people behind you or craning your neck.

i have never had a problem on any disney rides, i had some at IOA they were snug on the hips, going back this year, go thigh master.

Alas lay your fears to rest . I am a Baloo plus sized guy (385lbs and 6' 5" ) I have never had any problem with any of the rides at WDW except the Tea cups but that was more of a leg room issue than a size issue. So relax take a ride and live the magic
