Anyone watching this show on a regular basis? I just saw it tonight. I'm seeing Dana Delany, well into her 50's and Joanna Cassidy (only 10 years older) playing her mother. The two look like sisters. What is the background? Is Joanna a step mom? I know it's a dumb thread but it's bugging me

We watch Body of Proof. I never even thought about how close in age the two actresses are. Joan Hunt is supposed to be Megan Hunt's real mother. She is a politician.

No special storyline - she's just her mother. It's because it's TV. The same reason they have twenty somethings pretending to be high school students (GLEE)

I've watched this show from the beginning, but I don't think they've ever given an exact age for Dana Delaney or her mother's character. I do agree with you though that there doesn't appear to be much of an age difference between the two.

I went into the show fully prepared to dislike Dana Delaney, but I actually like her on this show. She plays a very interesting character.

She is a judge.

I love this show and hope that it is not canceled. I see that the season is being repeated and am going to watch again!

I DVR it and watch it when we have exhausted everything else. Which means it is one of my shows, but not one of my top shows. Kind of like the Dancing With the Stars cast is to Celebrity-hood.
About the age thing... if you watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade every time Harrison Ford calls Sean Connery "dad" he has a tone in his voice that means, "I am only 10 years younger than you are"

I came across this show by accident (have never heard of it ...) and watched a few .. I enjoyed it ...
I hope it does not get cancelled..

I like the show & think it's gotten better with time. Dana is 55 or so, but her character is supposed to be in her early 40s (she can get away with it). Joanna Cassidy's character is Dana's character's real mom. The father committed suicide when Dana's character was young.

this link explanes it, anything close to .90 will probably be renewed, and a lot depends on if the show is on a night that has many people watching tv, Castle is in good shape for renew
