Bobmouse's Solo Trip to Disney World

Pretrip and Fisrt Day 9/8-9/10

I did my laundry and pack my luggage on Saturday night. Eccept for a few thing I will be using
Sunday and Monday mornings. I had tried to hold off to Sunday to pack but could not wait any
longer. I did not sleep well Saturday night, Got about three hours sleep, to excited to sleep.
Sunday I take my sister-in-law to lunch. She is driving me to the airport at five a.m. so I treat her
ofcouse. We then went to the mall to kill so time as I had no plans for the day. I'm tired but I
don't nap for I want to sleep tonight. Eight p.m. rolls around and I head for bed. Fell asleep
quickly enough but wake up an hour later to use wash room. Tried to get back to sleep and at
12:15 I give up.
I went down stairs and log on the computer. I check Olando's weather. Then check here to
see if anyone was still up. Acouple of you were but only the ones out west. Look in on countdown
page one last time. Less than twelve hours to go. I shut down and turn on the television and surf
for about three long hours. At four a.m. it is time to get ready to go. Shave,shower and eat
breakfast. Boy that was quick still have time til sil picks me up. Read paper and five o'clock
finally gets here. A couple minutes go by and I'm getting nervous but sil shows up. Load up
luggage and we're off for Providence. Forty minute later we are at the airport. She wishes me a
good trip and we hug good bye.
Ihop in line to check in. I haven't flown in fourteen years so i was a little nervous about the
process. Went very smoothly. She asked me if I had been given anything to carry by a stranger.
Had to ask her to repeat that, as it caught me off guard. Then off to my gate witch ended up
being the farthest away. I had pleanty of time though and worked on a cross word puzzle to past
the time. Boarding(two minute penelty) starts at six forty, everyone was on and we depart on
time.
I do love the rush of take off. I fell asleep for about an half hour. As most of the travel stress
has passed. I was getting hungry agian, eating at four fifteen does not help matters any. Captain
says we will be gettin in early. I hope my TTc driver is there early too. We land so early we had
to wait for our gate to clear. My driver Dave is there and we grab my bags. he comments on the
weight of my bag. I tell him I will need thoses brick I brought with me. As we travel to All Star
Movies we chat about Pop Centry. Dave said that Disney has push back the open date and that any
one booked there has thier chose of any other resort at same price. Wow from a budget resort to
a deluxe. LUcky them.
I am staying in a Mighty Ducks building on second floor. After check in<at ten thirty, I drag my
bags to my room and unpack.
Time to go to Animal Kingdom. As I go toward Dinasour I see Tigger, my first charactor this trip.
I hope in line to get his autogragh and a picture, yehow I'm realy here. Over to dinasour small
wait for a fast and furrious ride, loved it. Did not think the picture was worth 10.95 plus tax.
Next I go to Kali River Rapids sort and fun. It is neat how Disney uses smell as part of
expearence. I kept my feet dry buy using a trash bag, the water was up to my ankles.
Tough to be a Bug was a blast Might be my favorite three dimetional show here. Ten minute wait
for show. Checked out show posteers, liked A Stink Bug Named Desire best. Sting was surprising
but not as back as I thought it would be. The little butter fly was cute.
Had a Mickey Bar as my lunch today. It was great thou it had 360 calories and 36 grams of
fat.At least it had a gram of fiber.
Bought so pins, got a MIckey to replace the one I lost this spring. Already put it on my hat.
Went to The Festival of the Lion King. Great show, was in the lion section. Disney sure uses vivide
colors in their shows. Non stop action and very fun, a must see. I got a few press pennies today
but couldn't get Quarter at Tusker House as they closed early. I went into Camp Minnie-Mickey
to charator meet and greets. Got autoghraphs and picture with Pooh,Eyore,Mickey&Minnie.
It started to rain at three thirty, so I bought a poncho with AK logo on it. Lasted until friday. I
saved the logo for a suvanir.
I go back to my resort for the rest of day. I had dinner at world premere in cinama hall. I had
roasted chicken with rice and green beans. also had a California orange here in Florida.


Took a short walk around resort taking pictures. I went for a swim but pool closed due to
aproching weather. Pool water was very warm.
Today beat my expectations. Starting off with no sleep. Ithought I wouldn't have the energy but
I did. The flight was quick, then hopped into TTc for ride to ASMos. Dave was coll. The resort
being so cool and getting into room rite away then off to AK. It was a perfect day.

I woke up at five o'clock this morning, having slept through the night. First good night sleep in
over a week. Washed up and puttered around room until wake up call came in.Have to start the
day by talking to Mickey. Went to food court for breakfast.
Hoped the bus to EPCOT and was at the gate a few minutes before opening. Gates open at 7:30.
Straight over to test track. I'm in the first group to ride.The preshow is funny then into the cars.
There is some technical diffacalties, about ten minute wait. This ride is a blast. The first few
test are neat and the speed part was thrilling. Wind blowning through hair. Oh, thats right I din't
have much hair.
Over to Spaceship Earth. I always get a good feeling while on this ride. It is on my must do list.
Next I walk over to Univerce of Energy. Very good show, neat show. I really like the way the
whole audiecne is moved through the show. Ellen and Bill Nye the science guy are very funny.
Since I'm right there I go to Body Wars. It was funny and corny. It's the first ride I
expearience motion sickness on.
I did a little shopping at Mouse Gears. Got a Tigger waist pack for sil, for her Oct. trip. I got a
lisence plate boarder for myself.
Went over to Inmagination Instatute to send an e-mail to my mother. I decided to scip HISTA for
today and see it later in the week. I want to get to World Showcase for rope drop.
As I wait for rope drop I catch up on me trip journal. At five of eleven the charactors on parade
bus goes by. I snap a few pictures as it passes me. Eleven o'clock the rope is droped and I walk
over to Mexico. There are cast members standing out front and one with a head set on walks by
quickly toward enterence of world showcase. The rope is put back up. The Cms do not let us into
the pavilion. They don't know why the delay. Some people wander deeper into world showcase to
see if it is only Mexico effected. The Cm with head set comes back and says they are closing
world showcase and does not know for how long. She said that there was a terrorist attack in
New York and Wassington DC but does not give any more infomation. I leave world showcase a
little disappointed that a would not get to tuor there today. (see writers note at bottom)
I go back to Inmagination Instatute, the cm said future world was still open. As I get there they
are roping off HISTA. I ask if the whole park is closing and this cm does not know. Another
guest ask me what is up. I tell him what I know about the attack on NY and Washington. I head
for the exit to get on a bus to resort. I hear that they are closing all the parks and I get a little
more nervous. On the bus there is some one who knows what has happened. I am shocked and
depressed. When I get back to ASMO's, I walk through gift shop and see the american flag
Mickey head. I buy one and place it on my shirt coller. In my room I turn the television on and
watch in disbelief. I watch for a couple hours and cry for the lost of so many. I am glad they
close the park.
I need to do something instead of staying locked in my room. I decide to take a swim but the pool
is closed fifteen minute after I get there because of approchng weather. I take a walk aroung
my resort, checking out the other buildings and their icons. I also went over to the AS Music and
Sports resorts. I love the icons and stiar wells on the buildings.
I called home to talk to my mother about the attack. I thought that one of my cousins works in the
Pentagon and I was right. He was caught in the blast and thrown. Injuring his whole left side,
bumps and bruising. He had gone to the hospital. He is home,in CT, with his perenrts and his
physical injuries are healing. It is his mental state that will take time.
Writers note- I wrote this day as I experiecned it. I was having a great and happy day until I
found out about the true nature of the attack. I felt I should write it that way. I mean no
disrespect to anyone.

Day Three: MGM Studios

Up at five thirty to get ready to leave room at six. Had cereal and a piece of fruit every morning.
Buy a news paper and take back to room to save. I catch a bus and its off to MGM.
At the gate guards are checking all purses and backpacks. I hear no complaints about the search.
Gates open at seven thirty and I'm off downSunset Blvd. to The Twilight Zones Tower of
Terror.What a way to be fully woke up.Tried to take a couple of pictures, Hope they come out.
Then over to Rock'n' Roller Coaster staring Aerosmith. Man, is that take-off great. The rest of
the ride was thrilling too. Just had to ride it again, right back on with no wait.
Back over to the Hollywood Tower Hotel. No pictures this time, just for full experience. The
elavator opperator on second ride was very funny, rolling his eye and such. The bell hop on first
ride was better than second.
Across the park to Star tours. I must have an advirtion to simulator rides. For I got quissy on this
ride. A bit corny. I think I will avoid simulators for now on.
Over to Hollywood Blvd. to the Mains Chinese Theater for the Great Movie Ride. I like this ride
relaxing and enteraning. The changing of the tour guide with the gangster was unexpected.
Up to New York Street to the Muppet 3-D. Disney does a great job on their 3-D movies. Rizzo the
Rat was great.The preshow was funny. All the favorite muppets are there.
Sounds Dangerous Interesting show thats makes you use your inmagination sitting in the dark. But
vidio parts were pretty lame.
Down Mickey Ave. to Animation Courtyard to see Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Live action show
that is basicly a trailer for movie. Disney really likes to use water as a special effect. I have
been rain on enough this week already.
Back around Echo Lake to see Indiana Jones Stunt Sectacular. Audience members volanter to be
part of the show. The stunts were superbly done and ation is very riviting. One of my favorite
shows of the day.
eleven thirty and it has started to rain for the day. Time to take a lunch break. I eat at the Back
Lot Express. Hot Dog with Fries, It becomes almost a dailly ritual.
In the Animation Courtyard I take the Magic of Disney Animation Tour. I liked this tour very
much and will do it agian on future trips. Had to sit on the floor in second part of tour. Not a big
fan of sitting indian style. Artist drew Milo from Atlantis. Then did a quick scetch of Mickey. A
picture of her boss she said.
At the Beauty and the Beast Show the sound check guy was asked for an ancore buy the
audiance. A couple of stage hands come out and joined his. They sang a cuople of song. They
were a singing group used as a warm up. Loved the show, Disney really Knows how to pop the
colors. The songs were very good. Iliked the way they did not try to hide the way they changed
the prince to beast and back agian.
DId not get to see first part of Back Lot Tours but rest was Interesting. The California cannon
was fun. Liked the old veicles from the movies Disney has made.
Huntchback of Notre Dame started with ajuggler as preshow, nicer thenjust sitting there. As
before the colors were brillant. The birds landing on the gargorel reminded me of the puppets
from the Lion King on Broadway. Also a very good show.
I have a priority seating for Mama Melrosa's as part of Fantasmic dinner package. I am seated
quickly after I arived. My waiter was Robert and he was attentive and friendly. I asked him
about best view of tater tower with mickey ears for a picture. He was very helpful trying to help.
Started of with steamed mussles as an appertizer and they were very good. My entree was
Linguini Fra Diavolo. It was delishous with a hit of spice. As I look beck at the menu I notice it
metions it is a spicy maranara sause. Did not notice when chosing my entree. I am ending my meal
with a tiramisu, what a meal topper.
iwent to find a good spot to take a picture of Mickey water tower. Did not get the support
stucter but think I got a good picture. Took na pocture of the hat and cut out most of the fence.
Went to Fantazmic at six thirty, as I had enough tuoring and wanted to write some postcards.
The fantazmic dinner package is the way to go. As by seven thirty the stadium was at capastity
and they must have waited a long time to get in. I asked a CM how many can be seated. He said
8,000. I can't even try to discribe Fantazmic, just to stuning. A most see and great way to end a
night.

Day 4- Magic Kingdom

A tipical morning ruitine. Hoped the bus for early entry and got there with plenty of time to spare. I meet a couple at the gate that had a seven tweenty PS for Cindarella's Castle. It seems that you are told that time to get you there earlier. When you get to Cindy"s they take your name and seat you as so as a table is ready. Probly only done with first few groups.It kind of annoyed her but he was ok with it. When she saw the family that got to open the park she said "I want to do that. We got here before them." I have since noted that it is usally a little girl that opens the park. This lady was kind of ammusing.
Ast rope drop I head up Main steet to tomarrow land to ride Space Mountain. I'm am disappointed with it. Did not like the darknees of the ride and a bit jerky.
Went over to Buzz Lightyears's Space Rangers Spin. What a fabulous ride. The combonation of a ride and life size vidio game is great. On my first ride I got a score of 86,000 points. Had to ride it again and got 106,000 points the second time. Want to ride some more but decide to wait to later.
The ExtraTERRORestrail Alien Encounter was kind of funny. There was a couple that was working a family up on how scarry it was before their firat ride. Not nearly as scarry as I expected and I was a little let down.
Rode the Tomarrowland Transit Authority and took a picture while in space mountain. Can't wait to see what came out.
I have done as much as can in Tomarrowland for now so it's over to Fantasyland. I ride Show White's Scary Adventures, I had rode this my first trip and really like it. A most do everry trip.
Took a boat ride in It's a Small World. I have heard about the dolls but they were a bit different than I expected. I nice ride though I never did it agian this trip. The seats in the boat were the most uncomfortable of any ride here.
Peter Pan's Flight is the best themed ride vehical in the parks. I really think the boats are very cool. I liked the way they used the sail to block a veiw til the last insteance.
The Many Advantures of Winnie the Pooh ride was nice. I enjoyed the Tigger bouncing part the most. Unfortunetly I had left my hip pack open before this ride and a couple of roll of film had fallen out. After a few nervous minutes I was directed to the ride opperator and some one had found them and gave them to him. Thank you to who ever found them, them had half my morning on them.
It is after nine and the rest of the park is now open. I have heard so much about The Haunted mansion that I have to ride. I ride it twice in a row. The first time there is a group of teens just in front of me that scream and carry on the whole ride, very destacting and annoying. I ride again to Expearence with no distracktions. Very well done. That poor dog mabe I will bring a biscit with me next time. I got the same hitch hiker both times though.
I travel back into time as I enter Frontierland. Hop on to Splash Mountain. Great themeing, having never ridden this attracktion before , I did not know when the big drop was coming. Insadently the two smaller drops supprised me ever more than the large drop. the large drop was so quick that I did not have time to get to scared. Did not get soaked ethier.
Big Thunder Mountain RailroadHad the first line today but only about five to ten minutes. I realy like this ride as I enjoy the old fadtion coasters.
Time for a lunch break. I eat at Percos Bill Cafe. Not dog and fries out of the porch. It started to sprinkle as I eat and did not stop today.
After lunch I went back on BTMR and liked it even more this time. You get to notice more each time you ride.
Went into Adventureland next and tuored The Swiss Family Treehouse. A nice set up, very serene and calm. I do wish there was a veiw of the park up there.
Three cheers for spoke and wheel rides. Hip Hip Heray, rode The Magic Carpets of Aladdin It was alright, definetly for the youngsters. A camel spits water at you.
Arr it's the parrot life for me. Went on Pirates of the Caribbean. Ther was a lady stuck in the turn stile because of her kids diper bag. I helped her out as her husband walk away unaware. Very nice ride, the seens were very well done. some were quite ammusing. I particularly liked the parrot out front.
It starts to rain in earnest as I find a good spot for the three o'clock parade. At 3:00 the parade is delayed and again at 3:05. A Cm mentions that it will most likely be canceled because of the floats that can't get soaked. So I go into the Country Bear Jamboree. As I am waiting to be let in I hear that the parade is canceled. It is a funny show with old time country music. I thought that the swinging bear was the best. The talking animal head were very funny.
I then go back into Adventureland to see The Enchanted Tiki Room. Which seems to be under new Management. Yogo and Zazoo make an apperance as the new managers. Very beautiful and Yago wants to make a few changes but is convinced other wise.
The Jungle Cruise was next. A short ride though different jungles that was made more interesting because of the very funny guide. I'm sure the boat is on some sort of track but she acted well in stearing the boat to cover that up.
I filled some time before dinner by looking for some penny presses. I also hs a MIckey ears hat made up that I will wear to dinner. I go into the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade to pop off a few caps. A simple diversion but fun.
Dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern. I arive at four forty five and I'm told some one would come for me. A couple of minutes later the town crier anounces that my table is ready "Hear ye Hear ye Mr Bobmouses table is ready" Seated in the John Pual Jones room. My server Sarah greets me and tells me my salad will be rate out. A delicious mixed greens with thierspecial tavern strawberry vinagerette dressing. Oh was it good. As I look out a window I see that the ring of colonial flags in the liberty square are a half staff. I am saddened as I think of the loss of so many. The Liberty Tree Tavern dinner is a charactor meal and they are mixing about. Chip see me writing in my trip log and wants to write sometning. He writes "Saw Chip today at LLT- it was the best part of my day" It lifts my spirit . All the charactors are in colonial dress. Dinner is served family style and Sarah brings my plater out. It has roasted turkey breat, marinated flank steak and honey mustard ham. Accompanied by massed
potatos, glazed carrots, herb dressing and macarini w/cheese. Every thing was supperb. At this time Chip and Dale took Goffey and shuut him into a closset. Minnie came over to see what they were doing and giggled and stood up against the door. Sarah came over to save Goffey and the scoled they for it. For deasert I had a pound cake with peacans and carmel sause, Um Um.
After dinner I strole down Main street looking into shop. I step into Uptown Jewlers, I am looking for a disney pocket watch. They have a few, two inparticular that I like. One has Cindarella's castle and the other has a Mickey haed on cap. On the in side of the later is a small Mickey between the three and six. He is pointing to a window inwhich you can see the workings of the watch. this is the one I choose. The dealer tries to tell me that the batterie will last a long time. I inform his that it is a wind up watch.
As I'm leaving the park I stop at the railroad station to get a couple pressed pennies and quarters. Also to take a few pictures.
At the bus stop I meet a lady and her two children,from Ohio, we talk about New York and how she is stranded for now. Disney is being great as the are letting anone stranded stay for free intil they can get home. Disney is also providing park tickets. She said some one from home was driving down to get them. Her son was discribing his day to me on the way back to our resort. He told me about his ride on slash mountain and I asked if he got wet. He ssaid yes and had me touch his hair to varify it. I am glad the yuonger kid do not understand what is going on rate now.

Day-5 EPCOT
I am the first into Ecot today. Do not think that it is going to be buissy today. Tropical storm Gabrial is passing though. Very windy and pouring rain. Only Universty of Energy and Spaceship Earth are open for early enter.
I'm the first on to Spaceship Earth, A couple people get on as my cart enters the begining of the ride. I feel as if I have the whole ride tyo myself. I love this ride. the part with rome burning smells so real. I really feel good after every time I ride it.
As I exit I see a Art of Disney store and step in to look. I might buy a Tinker Bell scetch with a pin in the frame and have it shipped home. Tink is my earliest momories of Disney because she always opened the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights.
I wonder over to Univesity of Energy since nothing else is open. As I sit there by myself waiting for the show to start, A CM comes though and tells me not to crowd to much. Just before the show starts seven more people show up. I had me own mobile show unit. I liked the show more this time I noticed more thing. Ellen and Bill Nye the science guy were very funny.
I slosh over to see Cranium Command. Good show, Fuzz I mean Buzz learns how to run his body from the cranium. All by myself in theater. THe castmember who ran the show said it was the irst time that happened to her.
Across the park to see HISTA. In 2000, when I was down here, I sat up front. This time I sat toward the back. I think the view from the back was better.
Splish,slash it's over to The Land to see Living with the Land. We get a little sprinkle froma water fall. Does Disney have a fettish with water on rides.
It is about time for the World Showcase to open. So I make my way over there. First stop is Mexico. I have my EPCOT pass port to get signed. There is an open market to go though to get to El Rio del Tiempo. Nice little ride. I really liked the vocano and the temple in the back of the pavilion.
Next is the Norway pavilion. Mealstrom is a cool ride. I like how they turn the boat to go down the falls. The movie was interesting. the Norwegan Cm signed my pass port "walcome to Norway, Greeting from the trolls." The stave church was interesting.
China has a very good movie on a surround screen. The Cm running the film was in a rush and ran across the run. I hate to say it but she ran like a China girl in those older movies. I like chinise food but don't eat here. The Chinesse Cm signs pass port "good luck".
The coocoo clock in Germany is great, Made me thing of Germany rate away. I had lunch at Biergardan, the Octoberfest buffet was very good. You are seated with others. I was sat with a couple and afew minutes later a man is sat with us.I have run into him and his family quite a few times. We introduse are selves and have a chuckle over it being a small world. I am so bad with names, I had forgoten his name two minutes after he told me, as usual.We discuse the travel plan and such. Disney has provided rooms and park tickets to thoughs stranded. The couple with us are here for two weeks, lucky them. They have stayed at the All Star Resorts fifteen times and off site once. Said they wuold never do that again. A three man band played traditional Germeny song while we eat. Germany CM signs "Greetings fromGermany, The land of the coocoo clocks."
Italy has very pretty arcutecture but nothing but shops. Cm signs pass port "Thank you very much, Have a good day."
American Adventure was not running when I got there. So I got me pass port stamped and signed "Bob Welcome to USA have fun!" I will try later to see the show.
The Japan pavilion has no show just shops. Oriental arcutecture is beautiful. I love the charactors that make up there writen langage. The Japanesse CM wrote "Bob hello welcome to japan" It is read right to left. I now know how to write my name in Japanesse.
I think that Morocco is the most beautiful pavilion in the World Showcase. The tile work is stunning. I like the idea of the meditation room there. No shows dues to the rain. Brought a real nice shirt here for my mother. The moroocan Cm signs my pass port "Bob welcome to morocco" It is also read right to left.
France, We France. The langage spoken with the right accent is music to the ear. the movie Impressions of France is the best in World Showcase. A must see every trip. I like the stuff about the cathedral of Notre Dame in the waiting room before the movie. I had an eclaire from Boulangrie Patisserie, the pastry shop there. Madamasele Cm signs "Bonjour Bob! Bienvenue en Frnce, le pays de la tour Eiffel.a bieulo" which translates to Welcome Bob to France, the country of the Eiffel tower.
Canada ah, They have my second favorite show. It is in circle vission and was very cool. Iliked the way you felt as if you were tipping. Leah of British Columbia wrote" Welcome to Canada, Where hockey is life, but lacross is our national sport."
Back to American Adventures to see if it was running. It was but next show in 25 minutes away, couldn't stay. Got pressed pennies then off to Mexico to have my passport signed. Missed it this morning. The sinoretta signed "Hello Roberto to Mexico, land of mariachi, mararitas and tocos."
I leave EPCOT for the last time this trip. Back to resort before going downtown. Shower and change into slacks and take light jacket with me. I am going to La Nouba and heard it can be cool in the theater.Arrive at Downtown Weatside and have to deside where to eat. House of Blues is right there and I go over to see if I can get in. I'm seated at one of Jana's tables. She introduses her self and tells me the specials. I have a cup of Seafood Gumbo that was incredible. My entree was Sauteed Shrimp tossed with linguine,diced tomatoes,fresh grated parmesan and garlic butter. It was very delishous and filling. At seven o'clock the waitstaff walked by with candles and head out the front. Aminute later the house music goes off and there was a few minutes of silence. It took me a few moments to figuer out what was going on. Stupid Bobmouse. After dinner I walked around the westside filling my time before Cirque de Soleil.
After I was seated, one of the Cm's (usher) was talking to another one. She was complaining about another one of her co-workers. She went to seat a group of people and came back. She started to complain agian. At this point I asked her to please not do that in my hearing range and she got pissed off with me. I tried to see her name tag a couple time but decided it was not worth it. A few minutes later a manager came over to talk to me. the manager treated me badly. I feel that she thought I was an off duty Cast Member. She said that I was off the clock and it was her job to worry about it . I wa sa little confused and didn't respond. The manager left at this time. It did not totally ruin the whole show for me but came real close.Thank God it is an excellent show or I would have asked for my money back. I am going to write Disney a letter though.
The show is phanomanal, never see anything like it. So much going on that it was hard to see everything. Very much worth the money to see. They did some real neat acrobatics. Hard to discribe it. After show I go to to bus stop and there is one there did not have to wait. Back late to resort so it is rate to bed.

Day 6 - Magic Kingdom

Right to Buzz Lightyear but it is not running. So I go on Space Mountain. I liked it better this time. I think I need to ride things twice to get a better experience.
Over to the tea cups to take a spin. Since it was so slow, I asked the CM that was running the ride if he could take a picture for me and he agreed. This is one of my favorite rides.
I decide to ride Dumbo. It was fun if not wet. Good view of back of castle when up high. Would have took a picture if it wasn't raining. I ride Peter Pan's Flight again.
I really like the duelists in the pictures on the wall of the ball room of the Haunted Mansion. There is so much to see on this ride. I have never riden this ride at night yet, would like to try that on a future trip.
I tour MIckeys Toontown Fair getting picture taken with Mickey then Minnie and finally with Goofy and Max. Also ride Goofy's Barnstormer. This is the first ride I ever did in Disney World, So it is a tradition.
Back over to Buzz to see if it is running yet. It is so I hop on and shot a 116,000 on my first spin of the day. Right back on and get a score of 167,000
Its over to Frontierland to BTMR and Slpash Mountain. I have a great time on both.
I strole down Main Street and went into the Expadition Hall to eat lunch at Tony's Town Square Resturant. I got lost trying to find resturant and run into Friar Tuck, The Genie and Jasmaine, I get Pictures and autographs. The Cast Member with them tells me that more of the princesses will be coming out in a few minutes. Snow White, Cindarella, Prince Charming and the Fierie Godmother appear. I get a picture with Snow White than one with them all. Autographs all around.
I pick up the toon town pictures and have them sent to resort. Off to lunch.
My waittress, Natelie, bring me bread with a tomato dipping sause. I'm supprised as the sause is cold but very good. Natelie asks if I want more bread but I decline for I have had to much bread as it is this week. I have Mozzarella Frittas as a appatizer, they were very good. For my entree was Carbonara con Fettuccine. That consisted of fetuccine tossed with pancetta, peas and tomatoes in an alfredo sauce. It was so good that I did not what it to end. As I eat a small marching band comes in and plays a few songs. I like that Disney has these small things all over the place, it adds to the magic. I end the meal with Teeramasui as dessert, delicious.
After lunch I go to the town hall to find out about filing a complain and ask where I could make a call to Victoria and Alberts to confirm my priority seating for tomarrow. They were very helphul. I'm fealing a bit down from thinking about a bad situation so I take the train around the park to calm down. I also think that being tired from yesterdays long wet day is not helping my mood either.
I walk back up Main Street to Frontierland to find a spot for the parade. I talk to a cast member about it and he showed me a spot between a hot dogs stand and the westward ho refreshment stand. As I wait for the parade to strat, I see ten to fifteen people eating turkey legs. They smell real good but I can't see myself walking around the park eating one. The Lion King float stops in front of me to do their show. Little kids are chosen to help and are given drums and large gourds with beads in them (forgot the name of this instrament). One little girl had one and while she shuck it, she was almost tipping over from the weight. As it was about half as big as she was, Very cute and I got a picture of her.
After the parade, I walked Behind the parade and felt as if I was a part of it as some one had said on the boards. I went into Fanasyland looking for something to ride. Lines for the first time today. I see Ariels Grotto has no line and go over to meet Areil. I see Tweedle Dee and Tweetle Dum. I go over get get autographs and Tweedle Dee signs his nme in a circle. Twedle Dum is having a great time messing with people asking for his signature. My turn comes and he steals my hat and putss it on sort of.After our picture is taken, I forrget my pen and he makes me turn around for it. As my back is turned he tickles me and sticks m the pen down the back of my shirt.The magic is back and mood greatly improved. Thanks Tweedle Dum.
I remember that I what to see the Carolsel of Progress. I scoot over to tomarrowland to see it. I really like it and if the Hall of Presidents is like this I am really disappointed that it is closed. Over to Buzz for another spin get a 116,500.
I was strolling thore the stores on Main Street, when a band starts playing out side. I step out to see them and the leader invites us down Main St. to to the flag retreat.As they lowwer flag and play the anthem, I remove my hat and place over heart. I am surprised how many do not.
Crystal Palace for dinner. I ask if the charactors to sit for pictures with me for a different pose. Piglet is the only one that does not. My waitress (mindy) was great about taking pictures. The buffet was okay, first dissapointment at a sit down meal. They have kind of unual choses on buffet. Not very satifying meal.
Over to Haunted Mansion after dinner. This is one of my top two favorite rides in Magic Kingdom. The other is Buzz Lightyear. I wanted to take a picture from Dumbo but line was very long maybe another time. The pictures did not come out as good I thought.
On the way to get a spot on Mian St. for Spectro magic, I went to the tomarrowland side of Cindarella's castle for the first time. I find the wishing well, it's in a nice semi suclooded place.
I find a spot across the street from the infomation board. Spectromagic was good but I liked the electric light parade better. I step out into the street to veiw the fire works. I enjoyed the fire works but feel like I have been standing in the same spot forever.

Day - 7 - Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney & Victoria and Alberts

I Catch the bus to animal kingdom to go Donalds Breakfastasorous at Resturanantasorous. I am first one at the gate, I have a 7:30 priority seating. A CM at gate said they would be down to get you in a minute. As I wait a man runs up and stops and a few minutes later his wife runs up too. A minute after that the grandparents and kiddies run up. The mother seems to be disappointed about something. The man comes over to me and asks how I got here so fast. I say that I took the bus. I ask his where they are coming from and he said the Grand Floridian. He returns to his family. I think nothing off it and though they must have thought they would be late to run to the gate. A Cm for the resturant get over and asked who was first. I raised my hand to answer. She asks for my name and for my park pass. She sends my pass through the turnstile and said some one would take me up soon. She also said that this is a magical moment for me. So this is what this family was running for. I asked if it was special can't they do it to for the kids. They agree to do that. I am then taken through the park with a server. I feel that I have the whole park to myself, what a good feeling. As I walk in Goffey greets me and I get my picture Taken with him before I'm seated. My waiter Neil comes over and greets me then sends me to the buffet. The buffet is very good with scambled eggs, omlets, bisket&gravy, pancakes, bacon and sausage. Also had a fruit, bagel and muffin bar. Had an assortment of cereals on hand too.When I sat done again a castmember came of and gave me a cerifacate that said this was a cerifiable magical moment. It was signed by the charactor at the meal and called me the livingston exposition. The servers were very ivolved with diners, calling charactors over for pictures and playing jokes on us. Like dumping a tray full of empty cups on someone and nipping at you with a dinasour hand puppet. Defenatly a must do charactor meal.
I went into camp Minnie Mickey to see the Pocahantis show but it is not playing today. They are having a maat and greet with Pocahantis instead. So I get autograph and picture taken. They also have Cm's with small animals to look at and pet. I saw a rat kind of cute. Some one called it Mickeys cousin.
I meander around the tree of life from africa, where I had stoped to get a pressed quarter at the Tusker House, to asia. Hop into TTBAB, I love the Disney 3-D movies.
Back to dinoland to ride dinasour. This is my favorite AK ride. Smiling my head off when the flash goes off to take picture. I go into the bone yard to escavate a little. I also try to look into the new atracktion they are building in dinoland. Could not get a good look. I go down one of the slides, it is definetly made for kids. Twists are tight and got jamed up a couple of times.
I go back to my resort to change. I'm going to donwtonw to get a Mickey and me photo and shop a little. Went to Studio M for photo. Which is the flex feature I have choosen. It went very quickly. The CM said it would be a minute. I figured Mickey had powder his nose then put his head on. Into the sudio to meet Mickey and we pose. Click, click two photos. I did not like them so we try again.This one is good. They printed them on and I was on my way. took all of five minutes.
I did some shoping for my neices and neffews. Myself also of course. Went to the Disney Days of Christmas and bought a Tinkerbell ordament. Gatting an ordament down here seems to becoming a tradition.Back to ASMovies to rest, start packing and go for a swim. I took a dip in the might duck pool. As I was relaxing in a chair a family showed up to swim. There was no life guard on duty and the kids started to jump off the life guard chair. This bugged me, so I left to go to the main pool instead of watching this. When a got t the fantasia pool I saw there were three guards, weird. After a quick swim and relaxing by the pool, it's time to get ready to go to Victoria and Alberts.
I take the bus to Magic Kingdom and walk over to the resort monorail, to get to the Grand Floridian. While standing in line I remember about the front seat of monorail. As it pulls up I see there is a family up there already, oh well. At the Contemporary they get off, so I ask if I could ride up front. Driver says sure. So I scurry uf front. what a veiw. Huge window give you veiw of every thing. At next stop a family joins me and we talk. They are from NJ and live about ten miles from my sister. I get to the Grand Floridianwith about an hour before my reservation. As I enter I see the sitting room. It is huge with massive chandarleers hanging from domed stained glass windows. A pianist was playing there but soon left. The grand stair case was just that grand. I sit there in one of the easy chairswaiting for my reservation time to come. A band starts to play as I relax.
At tweenty of six, I make my way to V&A's. At five forty five they open and I am seated. The materdee says that Victoria will be over to give me my menu. The dining room is small and very cozy. You are seated in a captains chair. Your victoria places your napkin in your lap. Then asks about wine or a drink. She fills your water glass and goes to get your menu. You are given an envalope like card with your name on it.when you open it you see the menu. The menu changes dailly and your name is printed on it. Victoria explains the choses to you and says that you will have to make all your choses at once. She leaves to give you time to deside. When she returns I give her my choses.
The first apperizer is already chosen it was Amuse Bouche. I forget how she descided it but it was two small peices of beef with little bit of herbs very tasty. The next cold appertizer I chose to have the Minnesota Elk Carpacio with Apple-Fennel Salad. The Elk was sliced paper thin and aranged around the salad. It was kind of hard to get off the plate also very good. For my hot appertizer I chose the Jombo Scallop over Roasted Beets and Yuzu Beurre Blanc. One scallop sauteed with mix vegitable that was delicious. The soup course was next and I had the Cashew Cream. This was the best soup I ever have had. I could have made a whole meal of just this. Your entree comes now and I pick the Colorado Lamb with heirloom Tomato Ragout. The lamb was cook medium rare and very delicious. Bread was also served with your meal and the butter was pressed into the V&A monogram. Victoria would keep bringing a roll every time I finished one . After three I decided to leave the next one she brought. The cheese course consisted of Vachern Fribourgeois, Passendale and English Stilton with burgundy Poached Pear. One was a swiss, Another was a blue cheese and I don't remember the third but it was so mild that it could only be eaten alone. I am not a blue cheese fan but all the cheeses were great. Finaliy the dessert and I chose the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. It was out standing, a perfect ending to a great meal. Just this and the cashew crean soup were worth the money. I will come here again.
As I leave I check the time. I spent one hour and fory-five minutes there. It may seem like a long time but only one other couple, who came in at the same time, left before me. They were a young couple in their late teens and dressed to the nines. If I was with some one I'm sure i would have been there alot longer. The time was important be cause if it was after eight, it meant that the buses wouldn't be running. I would have to find an indirect route like monorail to TTC then monorail to EPCOT and bus to AMos. But it was seven thirty-five so much easier. I recomand Victoria and Alberts to anyone who has the money, very enjoyable.

Day 8 - Last day Magic Kingdom

I wake up at five thirty and start getting ready for the day. I finish packing, everything will go into my suit case or sea bag. Even my garment bag I will not be carry on anything on the plane. All will be checked in. I look around the room to make sure I didn't miss anything. I go down to bagagge check to store my luggage. There is no one there. I was told that they would be there at five thirty. My alarm went off as I left the room and I had set it for six. I check my watch and it says 5:05, some how I changed the time on the clock in the room.I sit in the lobby nd watch the big screen tv. It continuously plys Disney movies and Tarzan was playing. After I check bags I will go back to room to set right time on clock.
On the bus to MK I hear a family talk about one of their daughters birthday being today. When we get to park I talk to a Cm about it with out them knowing it. I try to see if some one was picked to open park and there was a family picked already. The Cm got her a birthday pin and a magic wand. The little girl asked how she knew it was her birthday and the Cm said it was magic. Parents most have wondered too.
In side the park I head for first pin cart I see to get my cousin a Mickey head pin in red,white and blue. I find one and in about two minutes the rest are gone too.
Then up Main Street into tomarrowland. Buzz Lightyear is my first ride today. Shot a 206,900. Over to space mountain and I get the front seat. What a ride the front seat rocks. No backs to look at. You may have noted my oppinion of SM has changed. I really like this ride now. Back to buzz, I get a 176,800 this time, rate back on and score 224,600. Bounce over to space mountain, I got back seat this time. Did I mention I really like this ride.
I walk past star traders to fantasyland. "For your convenence the ground crew at Mickeys Star Traders would be glad to rocketship to any planetin the galaxcy." Iride Dumbo to get a picture of back of castle. Shh... don't tell anyone that I like spoke and wheel rides. I take two snaps and hope they come out. They didn't come out well.On to Peter Pan, I think the ride veical is the best themed. Haunted mansion at nine o'clock. First group in, the hitch hiker always makes my smile.
Walk though frontierland to splash mountain. I get my own log to ride and the log infront of me only has one rider. I wanted to get soaked as I did on Ssaturday. It did not happen, dry as a bone, figures on the hottest day I'm here. Rode BTMR one last time. A man and his daughter are talking about the ride as we are on it. Made ride even better. As we pull back in the father says " See that was not so bad" and the girl says "Lets do it again daddy"
In to adventureland just to look around. I decide to do the Shrunken Ned's Junior Jungle Boats. One mashine steals my token so I try again. These things are hard to drive but kind of fun.
Back in fantasyland to ride the mad tea party. I look out of the ride so that I'm dizzy when the ride ends. Back to Buzz and I have a problem with the right hand gun and only shot six hundred on it. I switch hands and shot a 116,200 on that side. Rate back on and get a 2000,600 much better.
I go to the Fairy Tale Garden- story telling with Belle. Kids are picked from crowd to play charactors for Beauty and beast. One adult is picked to play the beast. Belle stays for pictures afterwards. The only princess that I don't meet is Sleeping Beauty. The show is very entertaining and in a peaceful location. If you need a rest from the crowds it is off to the right of the castle.
Next it over to winnie the pooh. THe line weaves back and forth twice making it the longest line all week.
I decide it is time for lunch and go to the Liberty Tree Tavern. I'm saeted in the Geogre and Martha Washington room. My server, Joseph, greets me and explains the specials. I start of with a bacon and potato cream soup, very good. I don't know what they add to their butter but it is increible. I have the Benadick Arnold sandwich as my entree. It is an openfaced corn beef on pumpernickle bread with cole slaw on it topped with swiss cheese. Served with a side of thousand island dressing. I love corned beef, very good.
After lunch I ride the Liberty Belle River boat. Arelaxing pattle wheel boat ride around Tom Sawyer Island. Piloted by Mark Twain with bits of river boat history thrown in. This would be my last ride in Disney World.
I wander down Mian Street looking into shops. Go into Exposition Hall to see if any charactors are here. Mary poppins and Dopey, I get pics and autographs. When I get picture with Miss Poppins, I go to put my arm around her back. Mary says "No no sir, we must be proper. Please give me your arm." Over to town hall to get Disney dollars as suvinairs. Then I look for a ice cream vender to get a Mickey bars. I have to go back up Main St. to get one. I'm dalaying leaving and I'm soaking up the magic. But I don't want to be late so I leave the parks for the last time.
Back at the resort, I'm a little early, so I sit by the bar and write in my trip journal. It is really hot out today, so I move into the shade. At four tweenty-five I go over to get my bags out of the luggage room. The Cm asks if I using Mears and I said no. That I was using TTc. He said then thats you rride there, pointing behind a shutle. I peek around and it is my ride. Dave had arrived early.So they loaded up my luggage and off we go.
We arrive at MCO at five o'clock, say good bye and thank him. I pack my waist pack in my suitcase sence I don't want to carry it on. I am worried about the crowds as I walk in. For no reason it appears. There are only five people in line in front of me. There were about eight ticket agents . When I get to the front of the line I notice a screened of area to the right. I ask a delta employee if I have to have my luggage checked out. He said only if you are randomly picked. I luckily didn't get picked. As I check in I'm asked if my luggage hass been under my control. Also asked if I have any sharp objects on my person. Off to the departure gate. At gate check point every thing is to be sent though x-ray mashine now. As I walk though metal detector it buzzes. A couple of pins I'm wearing set it off, so they use a wand to check me.I grab a magazine to read as I wait the three hour til my plane takes off. Only fifteen people on the fight home. Flight is univentful and we land on time at eleven o'clock. My Sil is waiting and I get home about midnight. I will unpack tomarrow.

Thanks for reading my report. The Cashew cream soup is a heavy cream soup, definetly nothing lite about it. It was like a cashew nut butter thinned with cream. Sort of like a running peanut butter. But so much better. They topped it with some crunched up cashews. OH was it sooo good. I wonder if they would have gaven me seconds of it. The soup and the vanilla bean creme burlee were just heavenly. Gee I'm drolling all over my key board just thinking about them.

Thanks for reading my report, I am glad you enjoyed it. I was very comfortable there Though I had to ask them to turn off the spot light. Truthfully they make you feel relaxed and take care of you with out hovering over you. I will like to eat there agian on future trips. Might become a tradition for me.
