My parents, my sister, and my husband and I are going to Disney in August. We have a later flight and will arrive at POFQ at around 6:30ish. Our original plan was to go to Boma for dinner but everyone decided they would rather just relax around the resort the first night. So we are kind of thinking about eating at Boatwrights and I have a couple questions!

Can we easily walk from POFQ to Boatwrights?

And what do you all think about there food???

Thank you in advance!!

We always stay at POR so we've never made the walk. But, I would figure a 10 minute walk.

We've eaten at Boatwrights many times and never had a bad meal. I normally get either the jambalaya or the pot roast. Both are excellent, IMO. Breakfast isn't bad either.

Yes you can walk to Boatwrights from POFQ. We stayed at POR this past month and saw people walking from there daily. As far as the restaurant- it is one of our favorites!

We made a ressie. there 2 years ago when we were staying at CB. We liked the atmosphere of the entire resort which is why we stayed there this year.
Boatwrights is not that large and had excellent service both times we visited. We found a variety of food for our group of ten with different tastes.
We also ate here on our first night and it was very relaxing to stay at the resort to eat and enjoy the beautiful resort after a long 18 hr. car trip. If you choose to eat here I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Enjoy yourselves and have a great trip!!!

We ate there for breakfast on christams last year. We took the first bus that came to POFQ that was making a stop at POR. After we walked back to POFQ and it was a quick, maybe 10 minute walk along the water. No trouble getting there at all.

Although we were there for breakfast, we enjoyd it very much. We had the best service of the trip at this meal. :thumbsup2

The walk between the two resorts is probably my favorite walk anywhere! It's a gorgeous walk along the water and then thru the "mansions".. go for it! and the food at Boatwright's is good for dinner and especially good for breakfast! (my ds LIVES for their Stuffed French Toast and has even recreated it at home- and ds loves the sweet potato pancakes)

We stayed at POR and ate there a couple times once for breakfast and once for dinner when DD was sick. We loved the food there. We had the breakfast buffet thing (sorry don't know if it was called a bucket or platter or what) and they just brought whatever we needed more of. It was very, very good. For dinner, I had the pot roast and I still think about that, and how delicious it was (and I am picky about my meat). I think you would be very happy. It used to be that they had a piano man in the bar entertaining the kids and adults too in the evenings. We never had a chance to go since Ex DH was such a stick in the mud, but I would have loved to. It looked like a lot of fun. It is also nice just to walk around the pond at POR before or after dinner. There are ducks and it is dimly lit, very relaxing. I think you will like it, and you will definitely like the food at Boatwrights.

I agree...it's a beautiful walk, and not too long (it took us less than 10 minutes). Plus, you'll get to see more of the resort.

but you have the option of taking the boat between POFQ and POR also.

The walk should be pleasant, but I gotta say, Boatwright's breakfast is amazing!! Banana stuffed french toast = incredible. It's sort of a family tradition of ours, to hit Boatwright's at least one morning, no matter where we are staying. Hope you enjoy it!

Just adding to the prior recommendations of Boatwright's pot roast. Oh my it was tasty, especially with the potatoes and greens.

My DH's jambalaya was a bit dry, and we thought that the menu was pretty limited (only 7 or 8 entrees). Still, it was an enjoyable meal with good service and lovely atmosphere. And, it's a good idea in staying at your resort the first night to eat and relax. PO is a lovely resort, epecially at night.
