Boat to Downtown Disney

Can we take the boat from POR to Downtown Disney if we are not staying at POR?

I don't see why you couldn't. They don't ID anyone getting onto the boat.

They do check ID when you come through the gate to the resort by car. Maybe you can take the boat if you're staying on site?? Not sure.

If you can get to the boat docks at PO, you can ride the boat.

so from Downtown Disney we can take the boat roundtrip, right? do we need to get off?

I would imagine if there were a lot of people at DtD waiting to go back to PO, you would need to get off so that folks who had been waiting could get on. If there's no one waiting, I imagine you could just ride round trip.
