Boat service from WL?

Hi,

Is the boat service from WL reliable and fairly frequent?

I'd like to make an early PS for DH and myself at Crystal Palace breakfast, before MK opens.

But...if we need to be there at a certain time - and an early one - is the boat service going to get us there, or is the bus service a better choice?

I could be mistaken, but I don't beleive the Boat will get you there in time. Im not sure it's operational for breakfasts.

Your best bet is to take the TTC bus, and then the Resort Monorail to the MK. Both the bus and the Monorail start service at 7:00am, however, the monorail does not drop off at the MK until 7:30.

Don't give up on the boats just yet. We stay at the WL frequently (we are DVC owners) and have used the boats to get to many an early MK breakfast.

There are two boat routes that serve the WL. The first is the MK boat route (these are the big boats). This doesn't start operating until an hour before park opening so it won't get you to an 8:00 breakfast reservation.

The other route is the one that serves the Contemporary (these are the small boats). That starts running at 7:45. We have taken that boat from the WL to the CR a number of times. From the CR you can actually walk to the MK. That is the quickest way to the MK from the CR. We have gone this route several times to make several early reservations at CRT. If you go this route you might be a few minutes late for an 8:00 ressie - but that is no big deal and they will still give you a table. If you decide to go this route make sure you let the boat driver know where you are going and what you are doing. The small boat also serves FW, but if he knows where you are going he might be able to stop at the CR first, even if his next stop was going to be FW.

We don't care for the buses and do just about anything to avoid them. The boats are fun.

A 3 minute bus ride really is NOT that bad.
