Is there a boat that goes from MGM to Epcot? If yes, how much time is the trip?
:flower:

Yes, it stops at Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin, and Yacht Club/Beach Club docks on the way. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes.

It's a lovely ride! If you're in a hurry it will be faster to walk, especially if the boat is not sitting at the Studios dock when you leave the park. If you're going in the summer, it will also be much sweatier to walk!!

I remember having to get off the MGM boat at one of the resorts and getting in a different line to get to the Epcot boat.

The boat dock at MGM is over to the left as you leave and the dock at Epcot is at the International Gateway. The evening we went from MGM to Epcot we didn't want to waste time so we hopped on a bus which was pretty quick and lets you off in front of Epcot. I guess if you were planning on visiting the World Showcase it would save you some walking to take the boat.

Where is the boat docks at? Thanks! :flower:

They is (whoops) They ARE:

Epcot Friendship dock is near the International Gateway (the "Rear Entrance" to Epcot) located down the path half-way between the "UK" and "France".

MGM Friendship dock is on the lake (obviously) near the bus-loading area just outside the park.
If you are leaving the MGM front gate, follow to the LEFT along the sidewalk to the dock.

I didnt have to change boats two weeks ago. :confused3

You can accidentally get on the "wrong" boat at any resort (meaning THAT boat is going to Epcot first, and YOU want to go to MGM first.)

So the fastest solution is to get off and catch the "RIGHT" boat.
I suspect this is what happened.

They do have a direct boat....I've seen it a few times...not sure how often but there is one that runs some times..

I believe a few years back you had to switch boats to continue on to one of the theme parks. Now they run all day from Epcot to the Studios. With the hotel stops along the way the ride is around 23-35 minutes. If you just miss a boat you can walk between the two parks faster than waiting for the next boat. But the boat is a nice leisurely ride and saves on the feet!!!!

How do you walk to Epcot from the Studios, are they that close?

Tom

We took the boat from Epcot to MGM a few weeks ago.

It was a really nice boat ride and a different viewpoint to MGM. The boat did stop at the Boardwalk, then YachtClub, then the Swan/Dolphin first. Yes, it might have been faster taking the bus, but we had lunch at LeCellier and it was just a nice way to travel.

Yes, they are close enough to walk. Go out the IG exit from Epcot, amke a left and go past ESPN, the shops, and the hotel, then out past the Boardwalk there is a small sign that says "Walkway to Disney Studios" or something like that.
