We'll be going from Epcot to MGM in November one night. Can we take the boat between the two or is it only a bus option?

Yes there is a boat. It's not called MGM anymore by the way - it's been Hollywood Studios for a long time (Jan 2008 I think).

Old habits die hard. I've been to DHS at least 10 times since the name changed, but I still call it MGM. I know the boat goes to the epcot resorts, just wasn't sure it actually went to Epcot via the international gateway

I just wanted to let you know the boat from Epcot to Hollywood Studios also stops at the Boardwalk, Yacht Club/Beach Club, Swan/Dolphin before it arrives at Hollywood Studios, so it's not a direct ride. Finally if you are up to it you can also walk from the International Gateway exit of Epcot to Hollywood Studios, which will take you past the Boardwalk and it's about a 20 - 25 minute walk.

As long as we don't have to switch boats anywhere and we just stay on one boat to go from Epcot to DHS, we'll be fine. The walk would be ok for most in our party, but not grandma and her foot surgery. We'll take the leisurely boat ride.

Once you get on the boat at Epcot you won't need to get off until you arrive at Hollywood Studios, so you don't need to worry about switching for another one.

With the Y&B dock down, it should be faster for the time being as well.

If you time it up right you can get off at the Boardwalk and hit the bakery and then grab the next boat and continue the journey. Good stuff.
