Boat between Fort W. & Wilderness Ldg?

Once the boat leaves Magic Kingdom, does it stop at Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness first? Then, when it leaves Fort Wilderness, does it stop back by WL before going to MK.
We want to tour FW and also eat at WL, so I'm trying to decide if we should eat first or tour first.

For the last couple of years the WL and FW have their own separate boats to MK. There is a boat that goes between CR, WL and FW.

So...if I am at Wilderness Lodge and want to go to Fort Wilderness, I have to go back to MK and catch another boat? Gee, I could probably swim to FW faster. Other than road that can be walked, is there any direct transportation between the 2 places?

You will not have to go back to MK to catch a boat to WL. Simply take the "smaller" boat that travels a loop between FW - WL - CR.
