We have Boardwalk Villa's booked for 9 days in May. I am a little nervous ab2 out the $$ it is costing us. We have stayed on-site CBR and BC before but the last two years we have stayed at Caribe Royale 2 bdrm and loved it. Very well kept and not run down. The last pictures i saw of BV the rooms were starting to look dated. Can anyone reassure me that we won't be dissappointed. For the $$we are paying for a 2 Brdm I expect it to be in excellent conditon. Any advise???

We were there last August We had a 2 bedroom standard view for 10 days. The room was in excellant condition. We have stayed at the BWV's many times and never have been dissappointed with the quality. Even when they are doing major renovations, they keep things seamless. You won't be dissappointed. :disrocks:

I agree with Bill K. Stayed in Dec and two weeks ago. Rooms were wonderful.

And if you have any problems at all they are great about taking care of them.

Remember that the value of the room is tied to the location as well! You will love the amenities and proximity to Epcot/MGM.

We're staying at BWV in October. We have a Boardwalk view. I guess that's good. We've heard so much good about BWV that we can't wait to go. Let us know how you like it! :scratchin

We stayed there twice last year and each time the rooms were great. Had a 1 bdr and GV. Will return in 47 days for 8 days in a 1 bdr. I love it and have never been disappointed. Hope you have a great trip!

we had a one bedroom boardwalk view--fantastic
lots to do, food, shopping
dd7 was so excited to get her hair wrap that ds3 got a little wrap too.
We have stayed at ssr and the rooms were obviously new. Stayed at okw very large. But bwv has life and excitement all around. So close to epcot. Can see fireworks at night. Room was very clean and in very good condition. Better condition than our okw room was. I LOVED BWV. I would not worry. I am sad sad sad to be back in Illinois this week. Had snow yesterday.

Ahhhh....I *ADORE* the Boardwalk Villas. I have stayed in studios up to a 2 bedroom, haven't had enough people to warrant a GV yet. No problems with the rooms at all. My only gripe was that it was full for my May/June dates, so I'm trying Old Key West for once.

It's our home resort, so I am bit biased. :flower:

We are BWV owners and have only stayed there, always have loved it never has it seemed dated....there is wear and tear but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hopefully you are renting points vs paying cash to Disney as the savings for may for 9 nights is about $1600....If not something to think about for your next trip...

If you loved Caribe Royale you will adore BWV. You do not know what you are missing. So much better than CBR, and even BC IMHO. It is my favorite resort.

The times I have stayed in the BWV, I have been very pleased with the room, the decor, and the level of upkeep.

No matter how nice the Caribe Royale is, you're still not stepping out of your hotel and onto Disney's Boardwalk!!! ;)

We were at BWV back in early November and I must say that I was a bit disappointed with the condition of the resort. The inside of the elevators had the doors missing from the emergency telephone boxes. In the elevator lobby of the 5th floor the wood floor by the windows had extensive water damage and they were using planters to try to cover the areas up. The rooms themselves 5015 and 5017 were BW view rooms so I'd guess they're occupied close to 100% so there a bit of wear and tear, nothing major, but little things like the facuet on the kitchen sink being loose and wobbling around and the burners on the stove all being unlevel.

Was there anything that runied our vacation, no we had a good time. But I am starting to be a bit concerned that DVC is falling behind on upkeep. If it's because of $'s I'd rather pay a bit more on the annual maintenance fees and get things back up to the Disney standards that we've expected in the past.

I figure any water damage seen in the fall/winter of 2004 can be attributed to he HORRID hurricane season that hit Disney. I am willing to forgive some maintenance issues in that period simply because of the overwhelming amount of work that had to be done first to get the complex ready for each storm and then recover from each storm. I was there as late as early December an saw things that occured in those storms that Disney was still working on.

Also, the door on the elevator was missing because someone broke it and sadly... it could easily have been one of your fellow members.
