Boardwalk Villas Studio Recent Pictures?

I've searched all over the DIS, but most of the pictures I can find are of BWI or are old (like 4-5 years) pictures of BWV studio rooms. Did they refurbish these in the past year or two? Does anyone have any recent room pictures? TIA! I'm trying to get excited about staying here, but the rooms look so dated in pictures and that wall looks awfully pink!

And I think they have a different check-in area? Any pictures of that, as well? We're (hopefully; waiting for the 11 month window) staying here next December and the only experience I have with the Boardwalk is the actual Boardwalk and BWI.

looks like the last big renovation was around 2009.

i think the check in area is the same, but could be mistaken...

I'm trying to get excited about staying here, but the rooms look so dated in pictures and that wall looks awfully pink!

We just stayed there a couple of weeks ago. The decor is fine...I'd say the color of the walls is not bright pink. I wouldn't "worry" about the decor...it fits the resort.

You are paying for renovations now if you are now a member. So what you saw in the BWI isn't what you'll have in the BWV. They do tend to look like Gramma's House. If you look at the 360 view at the members' website, you'll see the studios are a nice pink color.

Thanks everyone! I have always loved the rooms at BWI (never stayed there, but the pictures I've seen are beautiful!) and I'm looking forward to staying at BWV just for the location alone, so the pink wall and floral decor don't put me off completely . When I first started looking into it the google images pictures I kept pulling up were the old room pictures (with the quilt looking spread). I'm sure I'll love it once I'm there. I didn't care for Kidani studios in pictures either, but I was very pleasantly surprised how much I loved the rooms when I stayed there in 2010.

I don't own DVC. I rent points .

Granny - I have a feeling that the pink wall isn't so "bright" in person. Thank you for the pictures! They do get me excited!

Here's a few I took of a studio after the refurb. The pink is definitely there but it's not that overwhelming IMO.

These pictures look just like the room we had this past Tuesday. The room looked nice but there was a terrible musty smell! If these rooms were refurbed recently, why did our room smell so old? I was also surprised to see carpet in the kitchenette/bathroom sink area. Why did they not go with tile?
