Boardwalk Villa and walking to park???

We will be staying at a Boardwalk villa in June, how far is the walk to Epcot? Also can you walk to MGM or any other park?

you can walk to both.

how far - that depends upon how fast you walk and how far or close is your room.

if you are close to steps and not to far - maybe 5 to 10 minutes to Epcot.

studios 6 to 13 minutes.

From the front steps at BWV, it's 0.36 mile to the Epcot International Gateway. At a 2.5mph walking pace, that's 8:38 walking time. (7:12 at 3mph)

From the edge of the Luna pool at BWV, it's 0.66 miles to entrance gates at the Studios. At 2.5mph walking pace, that's 15:50 walking time. (13:18 at 3mph)

If you exit the back door of BWV, from there it's 0.55 mile to the entrance gates at the Studios.

We walk to Epcot and usually take the boat to MGM.

We almost always walk to Epcot and back. In the off season, we also walk to MGM... but in June, we will probably take the boat to stay out of the heat.

We will be at BWV for 12 nights in early June.

That is one of the reasons I love Boardwalk - being able to walk to both Epcot and the Studios.

Epcot:
If the boat was in dock, we would take the boat. If the line was too long or the boat was nowhere in sight, we would walk.

Never walked to MGM. We took the boat back once and the bus from transportaton center (MK) to MGM once.

The walk to MGM is along the river. Nice and quiet.

DH thought it would be shorter to walk from the swan stop over to BWV. Well, the skies opened up and it was the longest and wettest 4 minutes of our trip! Next time I'm staying on the boat and he can take a .... walk!

Also can you walk to MGM or any other park?

The most efficient way to get from BW to Magic Kingdom is to take the bus, but at least half the time we choose to walk into EPCOT, out the front entrance, and take the monorail to MK. We enjoy the walk, and at least one monorail trip is a requirement for every WDW visit.

walking to the parks is nice and peaceful. but if your not in good shape i wouldnt walk it a half of mile is nothing walking to the parks but remember how much walking you are going to do at mgm and epcot.
