Boardwalk & Vero Beach, at the same time.

Ok, I admit this is probably a little crazy. But we have a reservation at Boardwalk for June 5th til 12th & a reservation for Vero Beach from June 6th til 13th. They are both II exchanges. (We own 500k points with Wyndham Points, the boardwalk unit cost me 77k and the vero beach 28k) Anyway I booked the Vero Beach because I was thinking about using my DVC points to hop over for few days, and this way I don't have to use my DVC points. This is our first trip to Vero Beach, we have been to Disney 10+ times.

1) If you had the two reservations, how would you split your time?
2) Is there any particular nights I should be at Vero Beach? (special events)
3) On an II exchange can you check in a few days late?

Congrats on your exchanges! I love both resorts, but I am biased as I own at both! Vero Beach is very quiet. January will be a tad cool to swim in the beach water, hopefully the pool is heated then. On Wednesdays, they have a character breakfast at Sonya's, the onsite restaraunt. You may want to venture out to the town of Vero Beach, which is 20 min south of the resort. Many upscale shops and restaraunts. You will get many opinions, but I would do Boardwalk first then head to VB. It would be a nice way to wind down from the world before you head back home! Have a great vacation!

You can check in late but you MUST notify them you are doing so. IF you opt for the DDP, you will still have to pay for 7 nights even if you stayed only 1. Given you're experienced with DVC but not VB, assuming you don't have an AP, and assuming neither are a studio, I'd split it 4/4 or something close. If one is a studio and one not, I'd shift toward the non studio 2/6 or 3/5. If you have an AP I'd likely go for BWV 5/4 or travel to VB later with 4 days remaining at VB. Remember you'll have the $95 extra fee at BWV but NOT at VB. Another aspect might be whether you had a 2 BR dedicated at VB which are all in the worse locations on each floor. MS can tell you the reservation type using the DVC reservation # on your II confirmation, not the II reservation #. You could also drive down and check in the first day to see what you get but the time and costs to do so are fairly significant.
