Boardwalk preferred view room

Just made a ressie for 2BR at BW in April 2004. Couldn't get a standard view. Reserved a preferred view. MS then told me that you can reserve a BW view room (is this new?) but that there were none left. What view/rooms should I request?

It was just announced two weeks ago that they will book Boardwalk Villa Preferred View reservations as Preferred Boardwalk View or Preferred Garden/Pool View from now on. The reason they are doing this is to make members' expectations more realistic when checking in. Same points as before, just guarantees you either Boardwalk or Garden/Pool if you request them. At this point you could accept the Garden/Pool View and ask them to put you on a waitlist for the Boardwalk Preferred View if that is what you want.

I figured that but I have never been in a preferred non-Boardwalk view room? Any specific ares to request such as quiet pool, canal, etc? Can any of these rooms see any fireworks?

The pv rooms that face the quiet pool are our favorite non bw view pv rooms. For the best Illuminations viewing it is either the bw view rooms or the rooms facing the front of the resort. Many of the rooms facing the front of the resort are sv rooms but there are some pv rooms also. These rooms can also have a view of the parking lot that is located quite a distance away, the canal, TOT, the Friendship boats and various birds, ducks, etc.
