We're going on a cruise in January and need to kill a few hours on the day that the boat gets back into port. I was considering going over to the Boardwalk area for lunch and just browsing around ... But will we be allowed to park in the self-parking lot if we are not registered as guests for that day?

Probably. You can also valet park for free as a DVC member (have your membership card ready). There are times when the lot is full that they limit parking to registered guests of Boardwalk only (I saw this on a Saturday around noon in May). I don't know if that included valet. There is another lot across the street next to the gas station where you could go, I believe it's unguarded.

Just go in and park your car don't even bother with valet service unless you forget how to park I am sure you have not forgotten and use the tip money for icecream or something from the bakery.

Too funny.

For what it's worth, I would also do the valet parking, Yu are on vacation, relax, enjoy yourself.

If you self-park, you can usually get pretty close. Not too far. I hope you enjoy the BW, it is one of our favorite places to hang out.

Saving the tip for ice cream and self park go hand in hand.

You need the extra exercise to walk off the ice cream calories.

Perfectly logical. ::yes:: ::yes::  :jester: :teeth:
