Boardwalk or Beach Club?

Both look plenty nice for me, so I am sure I would be more than happy at both. My question is which one is closer to the Epcot entrance? Based off the maps I can pull up, it looks like Beach Club is closer. Also, how far a walk is it to the Epcot monorail station?

Thanks!

BCV is a little closer to Epcot a little further to the Studios not much on either score. maybe 3-5 minutes.

You have to walk through Epcot and exit the front gate to get the monorail, with gates and security that is 15-20 in the best of times. Early moring it is gonna be a lot longer as the internatioal gateway is getting longer lines in the morning as newbies figure out how to put their fingers in the turnstile thingy. Oh and Epcot has to be open so not an option for early or late MK.

Not sure why you would want the monorail other than just the fun of riding it. The line from Epoct goes to TTC and you have to get off and get on another monorail, boat or bus to get any where. Bus service from the DVC resorts is probably a lot faster.

The pools are different SAB is the Class pool on property and you have to be at BCV to use it.

Amen to that!

We were staying that be Boardwalk recently and wanted to take a trip over to the Contemporary. Admittedly we were in no hurry, and knew in advance that the monorail was not the quickest way to get there.

With a leisurely walk through Epcot (30-40 minutes from the IG to the front gate), it took us every bit of 90 minutes to get from the Boardwalk to the Contemporary. It was a lotta walking plus 10 minute waits at both the Epcot monorail station and the TTC.

Unless you're splitting a day between Epcot and MK, just take the bus from your resort.

I've stayed at both, and distance to Epcot was a major concern, as I love Epxot. I found BCV to be much closer. However, if you like MGM also, I found BWV to be more "centered" between the 2 parks. Unless you're willing to wait for the boat, BCV is a good hike over to MGM.

Thanks. I am going next June and hoping to rent DVC points for the trip. I will have a 20 month old on the trip. So obviously most time would be spent at MK. Would you recommend Wilderness Lodge Villas in that case. I will have a car with me too, so driving wouldnt be a big issue.

If MK is where you'll be at then yes WLV would be the best choice, just a short boat ride away.

I also like VWL with a small child because I think it is quieter and more relaxing in the afternoon if you want to return to the villa for a nap. If I had to walk my little ones past SAB to get to the room, I don' think I'd have much luck convincing them to nap! :)
