I’m looking to buy three 100-140 point contracts. I want to start with BLT and then add on as I save up. I’m pretty sure I also want AKV as we really love the resort. I want to buy either BWV or BCV for the location. We have a big family so we will be needing 2 bedrooms most of the time. Trying also to avoid bus transportation as much as possible. Also wouldn’t have a problem with split stays.

BWV is all lock-offs for 2BRs vs BCV which has dedicated 2BR's. For ease of booking the 2BR's and having 2 real beds in the second bedroom I'd recommend BCV. But BWV has some GV's which BCV does not if you ever think that would be a desired accommodation.

That’s a good point. I’m also drawn to BCV because of the pool.

We had narrowed down to those 2 resorts too, and also for 2 brs there. Love them both!

BWV is less $$, has standard view point charts, better views (boardwalk view), and GVs.

BCV has dedicated 2 brs with an extra real bed (and don’t compete with booking studios all the time), SAB, and overall we just prefer the theme/vibe. (Plus we can always walk over to the Boardwalk for the fun there.)

I was thisclose to putting in an offer for BWV, but we ended up choosing BCV. Really though, I don’t think you can go wrong with either. :smooth:

We own at both, and tend to use the BWV points in the winter when SAB is less of a draw.

We bought BCV and sold it for BWV. :goodvibes I didnt really like that SAB is on the opposite corner of the resort and the slide is not as great as it looks plus you have to leave the pool area and cross the main walkway to get to it. The easy walk from BWV to both Epcot and DHS, the standard views and the Boardwalk views all were what we found we were preferring. We like BCV and still stay there but decided we preferred to own at BWV. The 2 bedroom is the bummer at BWV though.

Taking into account both need for fewer points/night and cheaper per point acquisition cost, on resale side, BCV is about a 30% markup over BWV standard. Might be close to 40% direct.

We did a BCV stay for the pool - we own BWV and when we bought, bought BWV over the BCV resale. I was never so pleased to get confirmation we'd made the right decision. SAB itself was OK, but there is a brief period in time when kids are strong enough swimmers that it won't drive you nuts as a mother (really bad sight lines through the pool if your kids are at the age of "independent but supervised swimming"). The biggest problem for me was that you need to go through the lobby to get to the pool - I don't mind being in my swimsuit and flip flops at the pool, but I HATED walking through the lobby dressed for the pool - even with a cover up on - I felt like I was inappropriate. Love BWV, I will never again stay at BCV.

Sorry, this is incorrect.

:lmao: :D

I’ve started using the little side door that leads off the washrooms right beside the Marketplace- then skirt to the right of Bell Services and out by the little outdoor seating for the MP. I hated going through the lobby in towels too. Just ugh. I love that little door, lol.

I'm glad to know that I'm not some sort of special headcase :) I think the BC lobby is just a little too formal and you march right down the middle of it (without that little door). And I must have been there during a big conference, when the Y&BC books overflow rooms (probably Gartner) because there were all sorts of white guys in suits. (I know Gartner does their CIO conference at the Swalphin - or did - and the last thing I wanted was to run into my boss or bosses boss in a swimsuit)

If you are totally undecided, BWV will be a better value.

That's probably going to be the norm now that they expanded the conference center. That said, I have no problem marching right down the middle of the lobby on my way back from the pool. People do it all day.... it is what it is :smooth:

I never thought of that lobby as "formal", but it is pretty nice :D

It is, especially if you can book the standard rooms.

That’s my issue with the slide too (although it’s also boring....). We would pass by dressed up convention goers walking when crossing the walkway. Just a lot of awkwardness there IMO.

The slide is probably the worst in the entirety of Walt Disney World. It truly is lame and is also inconvenient.

BCV > BWV

:rolleyes1 :flower1:

BWV will probably be a little less per point though. Not worth it IMHO but some people prefer it.

If you book BWV standard view the points are a lot less compared to BCV rooms. But it you book BWV preferred view then the points are quite similar.
