Having checked the prices, I'm probably dreaming here . . . but can anyone tell me anything about the Garden Suites and the Boardwalk?

Does anyone have personal experience staying there? How big are they? Where are they located within the Boardwalk resort? Are they worth the price?

Thanks.

wdwig.com/g_bwi.htm has some good pictures maybe it'll give you an idea where in the boardwalk they're located

I have always wondered about these also. Does anyone know of a way to get a discount on these? I have never heard of any AP rates, etc for suites.

I was offered a AAA discount on one of these once. Even though they are called suites they are discounted once in a while-either AAA, DC, etc.

It is very hard to get a discount on these but it's not unheard of.

I believe when I called last year the AAA rate was about $85 off the $600 room rate at the time.

They are located across from the quiet pool. You would actually take the elevator down (or walk out to the stairs) and go outside and they are right there. If you have located the pictures (I think ourlaughingplace might have some as well) you can see that they each have a little garden in front with it's own entrance. I know they have offered an AP rate and they sleep 4.

Another question . . . do these garden suites include concierge service?

Yes, they do include concierge service.

I really think that they are nice. Spacious and concierge service. A pretty decent price for what you get.

They are "cute" too. The garden area out front just has a special feeling about it.

We stayed in them a few years ago and they are really special. You feel real important when you return "home" at night and go through your own little gate and yard up to the front door. The only downfall is the staircase up to the loft bedroom, after walking all day at the parks it's a long walk!!! But the jacuzzi tub takes care of that.

I've seen lots of pictures of them online, and they look really cute! We'll be staying in one for part of our honeymoon this December. I was under the impression that there are never any AP rates for suites at WDW, or really any substantial discounts on them at all.
