BoardWalk Bakery menu shrinking?

The official menu has two new sandwiches listed without the lobster roll or any of the other sandwiches I've seen listed there before. And only one salad option?

I was thinking of stopping here for a QS meal, but am reconsidering if the menu is really being cut back that much. Anyone been to BoardWalk Bakery since the menu update day of 8/19?

OH, the loss of the Lobster Roll would pretty much mean I would never need to go back! I love that! The rest of it's just OK IMHO

That can't be right! They also only have 3 pastries listed. First Columbia Harbor house removes their lobster roll and now here too? And three weeks before I get there.

Oh no! No coffee cake (or whatever it was called) either? I fell in love with both on my last trip! Yes, I know that the lobster roll is not entirely authentic, but I live in California, so it is delicious to me!

Agree, we stay at BWV and this is my go to sandwich!

Mainstreaming of DDP has its impact on the once stellar TS/CS experience of the late 90's and early 2000's and it includes menu adjustment to balance the checkbook. Rising food cost also require adjustments to menus... What once was a favorite becomes a memory. Look for the next hidden gem.

Columbia Harbour House still has the lobster roll listed on its lunch menu. The lobster roll is simply not available at dinner when they add the lobster and shrimp mac & cheese to the menu unless I've missed something.

seen so many conflicting menus , hard to tell what's accurate unless it's a recent picture from the restaurant itself

I don't know why they would be taking lobster off the menu know- at least for lobster rolls and such the price for Fl lobsters is at an all time low. Now Maine lobsters available elsewhere are a different story but the FL lobsters are cheap- in fact many fishermen down here are fishing other things since the lobsters aren't making them enough money.

My understanding is that the official menu is usually the most up-to-date, so if they dropped this from the menu then I assume no longer offered. Was looking forward to trying this October (was closed last trip).

Ok just a heads up there was a post on the Boardwalk thread that someone went into the bakery and got a lobster roll today. When they asked about the lobster roll going away they were told it was their best selling sandwich and they knew nothing about it going away. We may get lucky. Hopefully the menu will be updated soon.

Thanks! I found that post and am happy the lobster roll at least is still an option. I hope Disney fixes their online menu soon, so we can know if those new sandwiches are actually being added and what, if anything, they're replacing.

Well, Disney still hasn't changed their online menu, but I just saw that Touring Plans updated theirs a couple of days ago. So, it looks like the salmon sandwich may be gone, but the number of entree options seems to be about the same.
