Can someone tell me more about the boardwalk area? We haven't visited there in either of our two previous trips and we're thinking of doing it this September.
What exactly is it? I realize a boardwalk, but you walk around and see what? Shops, restaurants? I assume it's not a cheesey T-shirt and cotton candy atmosphere, but typical Disney? Also...what are the big restaurants in that area.
Thanks...and maybe we'll see you there!

I'm sure I'll miss something but there are restaurants and clubs.
Spoodles, Flying Fish, ESPN zone, Dueling Pianos and a dance club (forget the name). There's also a general store and a bakery. They rent Surrey Bikes too. Then at night they bring out 'stands' and acts that make it more old fashioned Boardwalk atmosphere. I've only stayed there once so I don't know if it changes but when we were there, there was a fortune teller, a magician, a 'one-man band' , then there was a stand selling crepes and ice-cream. I know I'm forgetting things but it was an overall fun, light atmosphere. Also if you come at the right time you can see the illumanations fireworks too.
