We just returned from a sucessful trip. I think the curse has been broken, We had no trip to the ER and everyone remained well and relatively sane!
We got off to a rocky start we were socked witha huge 2 day snow storm and were afraid we would not get out at all. So we decided to stay at an airport hotel in providence. We chose the Radisson got a great online rate and off we were. After a rather harrowing ride very slowly in the snow we arrived. The hotel was very nice staff very helpful, property very clean. For the next 36 hours we sat in the room, And sat, and sat... While it snowed and snowed. We ordered room service and sat some more. When it became a choice between braving the roads and choking the children we decided to go to a mall and walk around. Of course flights were canceled all day we finally got out the following evening. Which was great as I was starting to feel like Jack Nicholoson in the shining.
We had a great flight straight through. Both 3 year olds slept all the way through. SIL sat away from me with her nephew as she was afraid they would be wild. But, The joke was on her, my 3 year olds slept, hers did not. I made sure to point that out to her! For my 9 year old I had reserved a white stretch limo as a surprise treat. Happy Limo provided a great service, Very propmpt the car was fabulous and boy was he pleased. It was very funny to watch everyones faces trying to figure out who was getting out of the car at the Boardwalk. Sorry just me and my kids!
The Boardwalk was great, had a great CM named Lorenzo. I have dealt with him in the past and he is very nice.
I made no requests this time other than nonsmoking. I was pleased to be put 4 doors down from the elevators. Sorry can not remember the room #? this was a 1 bedroom it was very clean and in good shape a few nicks on the door. The only major thing was in the master bedroom someones child had really made a mess out of the nightstand, desk and part of the wall with a red pen. Really a shame because there was alot of damage to the wood. Otherwise everything went smoothly. This was a nice room. It looked out on the bell stand which was alittle loud for my guys. I was wishing for my sound machine. If you were there last week. I was our room that had the icle lights hanging on the patio doors. It loooked great from the bell stand and the kids got a big kick out of knowing which room was ours! Tommorow MGM!
