:cool1: I had read that boarding passes can be printed out at BWV the day of departure for SouthWest. Does anyone have info.? 13 days and heading for home.

Yep, easy enough to do. Just take your reservation numbers to the service desk after midnite day of flight and they'll be happy to print them for you.

I didn't know you can do that with Southwest Airlines? Can somebody confirm? We had our boarding passes printed at VWL before driving to MCO on our last trip but we were flying Continental.

I don't believe Southwest is part of the airline "partnership" program. If the front desk is providing this service, I think all they're doing is completing an online check-in (which is still useful, no doubt). I do not believe they would be able to check bags, which they do for the full partners---irrespective of whether you were using Magical Express or not. Hopefully, Disney will partner with Southwest soon.

We had a late afternoon flight and I went to Guest Services the am of our flight. They said if the system were up and running they could print them out. I got our printed out, no problems. And we got section A.

Printing airline boarding passes is not necessarily part of the ME airline program....If they are able, front desks of the disney hotels will print you your boarding passes for any airline.

If you are part of ME and traveling on a participating airline they will print boarding passes and check your luggage..

Southwest isn't part of the ME program, the front desk is printing out your boarding pass just like you would do at home from your own computer. There is a special area at the resorts set up for those who use United, American, Continental, and Delta--it's like checking in for your flight in front of the airport, but instead of that, you check in at the hotel, they print your boarding pass, take your luggage and tag it, and send it on ahead. It's called a "remote check-in", and it is really NEAT!

I became a member in June we where staying off grounds. CM at Poly printed our boarding passes for us.

Same here.

In May we asked at the Guest services at BWV and were told we should go to the business center at BW conference center. Unfortunately, both computers were taken and the business center closed before we could print our boarding passes.

I imagine if you ask when they are busy, it would be hard for them to do this since they have to go in the back, get on the internet on the computer back there and go to the SW website to log the confirmation number(s) in to print the passes. If there is a line of guests waiting to check in and a bunch of people were waiting to get passes printed, can you imagine how long it would take to check in? That said, I went at about three in the morning in February since I couldn't sleep and they were happy to do it.

We have done both, the front desk and the business center. When the front desk did it, I went down at midnight and patiently waited until no one was around - took about an hour that night. We went to bed early the next time, so I hit the business center around 11AM and only had a brief wait before I was able to get on line and take care of it. Both time, very painless. Last time, I had my laptop, to I did it on line, even though I didn't have a printer and got us checked in early, then we just printed the passes at the kiosks when we got to the airport.

We just left SSR on Saturday morning. We flew Southwest. I asked at the front desk on Friday afternoon if we could get our boarding passes printed at midnight. I was told I would have to go to the Business Center at the Boardwalk.

When we got back to SSR from Magic Kingdom at 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning I decided to check at the front desk before travelling to the Boardwalk. There was one CM working the front desk. I asked if she could print our boarding passes, she said "sure, no problem". Like many other Disney policies, it seems to make a difference depending on who you ask. Maybe they just don't want to advertise this service so it doesn't get out of hand.

I also got sent to the business center. Although, I did not get charged a fee for this, many have reported being charged to get on and print their boarding passes.

Can you explain this a little further. I was wondering the same thing. I will have my laptop but not printer.

Probably so, but then thousands just read about it here, it so I would assume pretty soon they will not print them for anyone.

If you are paying for the internet access as your resort, you can use your laptop to check-in. Just check-in like you normally would, but don't worry about printing out a boarding pass. When you get to the kiosk near the ticket counter at the airport, just sign in via your ticket confirmation number, and the machine will allow you to reprint your boarding pass with the same letter you got earlier.

Both in March and May of this year, the lobby concierge at BCV printed our Southwest boarding passes the morning of our flight home. They had computers right at the counter so they didn't have to go in back. In May, SWA website was having problems and they even let me call SWA from their phone to find out what was wrong. I went back about an hour later and they were able to print them without any more problems. I haven't stayed at BWV recently but I thought all deluxe hotels were getting the lobby concierge so I would check there before going to the front desk CMs.

Actually, I didn't even pay for the internet service. Just used my dial up with a local Florida number. Since I was DVC, the was no or only minimal charge for the local call. Anyway, You go on line and do everything you always do to print the boarding passes. Of course with no printer, nothing prints. Then, you can check in again (same process as the first time) and you will be assigned the letter (and number) you were assigned when you did it on line. I have issues with my home printer printing from the internet, so I have also checked in after midnight at home, and then gone into work the next day and printed them out. When they print out they end up with a little "r" beside the number. Or, if you don't print them out, when you check your luggage, just tell the skycap that you already checked in on line, but couldn't print the boarding passes. Or, if you have just carry ons, go to the SWA kiosk and put in either your Rapid Reward card or any ID with your name on it sign in again. It will print your boarding pass.

In January, we were staying at SSR, and the front desk there told us, not every resort has internet access. They told us to go to either BWV, or Contemp. We went to Guest services at BWV, and they were happy to do it for us.
