Board Walk Advisory - For How Long?

The notice below appears when I check our Oct BW stay on MDE. Anyone know if the refurb will be over by mid Oct? Also, I never found a lack of self parking on trips in Oct and March, both high activity times, what's up with that?

Upon your arrival, you will notice several Resort refurbishments in process including routine exterior maintenance and painting. It is possible that you may experience noise; however, work with the highest potential for noise will be limited to the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.


Parking Advisory
Due to limited parking availability, we highly recommend that all Disney Resort hotel Guests take advantage of our complimentary transportation options. For Guests arriving in their own vehicles, please be advised that self-parking may not be available—valet parking may be the only option. For Guests traveling to Epcot, please utilize the Epcot Guest Parking Lot.

Refurbishment Notice
In an ongoing effort to improve the quality of our facilities and offerings, some of our Resort locations are currently being refreshed. To avoid damage to personal items due to painting or exterior construction, we suggest that you bring all personal belongings from your patio or balcony inside during the work hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please pardon our pixie dust while we make more magic!

They really ought to be done with refurb by October.

One factor in parking is that they have containers in the lot for the refurb. Another factor is people trying to park there instead of the Epcot lot.

Thanks, that makes sense and it would seem that both issues should be gone by the time we visit.

Strange thing is the Parking Notice has been there for about a year or maybe even more.
I always thought it was tied to the containers and whatnot associated with the refurb

Given the chatter about possibly charging for parking at resorts, probably both. I'd expect Boardwalk to be subject to abuse, and it shows more with the containers in the lot.
