I seem to be seeing major problems with the performance of the message boards.
I like to access the DIS at lunch time (noon - 1pm EST, like a lot of others, I know) - at least 50% of the time, when I'm in one of the boards, I give up in frustration becuase it can take anywhere from 1 minute to 4 minutes to click into a thread, reply to a thread, load the board topics, etc. Seems to be a general board performance problem.
It's also not uncommon for me to get a "Busy, please try later" when trying to open a thread.
Is the board performance being monitored? Are there any plans in the works to improve performance?
It's not my internet connection, other very graphics intensive websites load quickly - after I get a busy message or get frustrated on these boards, I'll typically go to a different website and do some reading - those sites all load just fine.
Just wondering if I should continue to expect poor performance, or it it's something that's being looked at?
I really love these message boards, and I think everyone is doing a great job - thanks very much to all the moderators, and all the tech people that keep the boards running - I just wish they would load more quickly, especially during times where lots of people are accessing them.
